Premium dining has a premium price but nothing premium about it. First off the waiting staff work extremely hard and they get 5 stars. But ultimately this is a buffet restaurant that's like a madhouse with people dodging each other with plates of food or drinks. Food was good but not amazing. You pay the extra for having something cooked fresh but you need to que for 10-20 mins for that luxury and then the person Infront of you orders for a table of 6! The Grill section is chicken or beefburgers that have been pre cooked then just thrown on the grill while your wait to heat up and even then it's luke warm. They say they can cater for any dietary needs but when I asked the lady at the grill station did they do gluten free buns for the burgers she had no clue and started looking at the box the buns came in for the ingredients!! Wok station 15 min wait and then the food was really greasy. Carvery decent. Breakfast waited again 15 minutes for an omelette and then got given someone else's! Juice machine had no orange juice at all on our 4 day stay! Surely that should be standard. Some had apple juice but most of the time it's either lemon or something called pear rose!? So you get watered down juice or hot drinks dispensed that's it! No fizzy drinks. Also as it's a free for all I had people Infront hogging up 2 machines at once to get their drinks served. Deserts good but pretty much the same every day. What you get with premium is somewhere slightly better to sit with tables spaced apart a bit further. I don't think it's worth it personally. Consider the basic dining package which is pretty much the same without the carvery or queing up for stuff. Or pay the extra and have the dining in restaurants choice and least you'd get a decent drink included. Next time I won't go for a dining package at all. Plenty of choice on site and for similar money you would get a proper dining experience or a take out pizza/fish and chips while watching a show on the...
Read moreI really liked this place. It is a mad rush to get the best seats at times especially if you have a pram as there are no allocated room for them, so basically, you're deciding to remove a chair and think at the same time if the pram is in the way. Saying this, we always managed to find a spot. The variety of food was amazing, the choice was very good. It served both hot and cold meals and all seemed tasty and nice. It was also helpful to see members of staff go around the food with thermal instruments to make sure that the food was at the right temperature. I liked everything I ate and went back for more. Personally, I thought that there was a good selection of mains and desserts. Self service ice cream machine was always controlled by eager kids which always gave me the impression that it should be better manned or by a parent. The floor was quite sticky at time. Personnel were always happy to help and friendly and the...
Read moreNot the greatest quality of food but you can't beat the choice for the price if you purchase the dining plan for your Butlins stay. And it's an all you can eat buffet, so no need to stack your plate to the ceiling just go back and try something new if you can't make up your mind first time. They always seem to have a traditional roast available as well as a different theme rotating between, Indian, Italian and Chinese for the evening meal. There's also 2 chef stations where you can get a fresh pasta meal on one and a burger or gammon on the grill, for breakfast these serve omelettes or BLT, bacon or bacon and sausage toast sandwiches. Two drinks stations with hot chocolate and variations of coffee (not great quality), cordial or fresh juices, watch out for the...
