If i could give less stars i would! Revamp has been done lovely and a decent menu, So thought we were in for a decent meal. Wow we were wrong! Vile food, I've been feeling really sick since taking two bites of the digusting food. The sauce was out of date, got a picture to prove it. The garlic bread was terrible, they could only be bothered to toast one side. I asked to speak to the manager, he did not come out to see me (he peered through the kitchen door)
I brought up the gone off sauce to conor who looked embarrassed by it. He tried to deny it, took it off me and went out the kitchen. The next thing i know the conor and the manager are looking at it and smirking! Sorry i don't know what's funny your feeding little children out of date ketchup and mayo that isn't refridgerated.
Rachel then came out and with a disgusting & rude attitude, she asked what was wrong. I explained the food was inedible, it didn't taste nice and seemed off. Her response was yeah but whats wrong with it. I looked at her abit dumbfounded. So i asked her to refund my meal. She took it out the kitchen, where the manger looked at it and they said something looked out at my family laughed and rachel went to the till. Again her attitude was present, she handed me my refunded and asked me to put my details on the receipt. She said ill be back in a few mins (no problem with this).
When i filled my details in, i looked over and rachel was standing in between the bar and the carvery. There is a little store room behind and she was whipping one of the other male serving staff with her lanyard on his bottom and giggling. I don't think it's appropriate behaviour on a tots break! Personally staff could be checking the dates on sauce, putting open mayo in the fridge etc. We waited 10 mins, rachel didn't come back, so my niece took it over to the bar. This isnt the first complaint about staff customer service skills, i have made in the last month. 3 weeks prior to coming another complaint had to be raised. Butlins put some of your profits into training the weaker members of staff in customer relations and giving a quality service. Us loyal customers spend thousands of pounds a year...
Read moreI ordered a starter then a main meal , I asked for the start to come first but to my surprise the main came out at the same time , I explained to the male member of staff that I wanted the starter first which I asked for, His response was i can take your dinner and put it under the heat lamp till im ready , i explained that the rice would be hard . He then rudely walked off . I ask another male member of staff to get the manger for me, she then came over asked what the problem was I explained I asked for the starter first and explained your member of staff said my dinner would be kept under a heat lamp well I finished my starter . She explained no it would be a fresh dinner i said ok thats fine she took the dinner and said tell us when your ready for your main meal we will prepare it for you . So a little while later the main came out but it was very cold so was my husband food . I explained to the member of staff he took the dinners back and brought us a new one. After that we asked a member of staff how long the wait was for desserts to be told not very long by this point there was 3 other tables so wasn't busy at all . We order desserts we wait 30 mins then went to ask the manger where they were she went into the kitchen she then sent over a male member of staff to our table saying they are just gonna be made now we explained its now been 40 mins for some ice cream that we wanted a refund and to cancel the desserts he went to speak to the manger but then never came back to our table . We finally got our desserts about 45 mins after we ordered i would understand if they was busy but they wasn't busy at all. Very poor...
Read moreAwful service. Ordered at the bar 2 kids meals and 2 adults meals. Ordered starters for both: ours was a sharing nacho starter with beef chilli. Order went through. Waiting staff come over few minutes later and say there is no beef chilli only veggie chilli. No other options were offered. Ended up going with the veggie chilli (even though I didn't want it). Fine, fair enough, it happens.
Then served comes out with everyone's mains except mine (mine is a jacket potato). Waiter says "oh the jacket potato is a few minutes behind". So I wait... For 20 mins with no jacket potato still out. Please bear in mind that I am in early pregnancy and can only stomach certain foods at the moment, and I was absolutely starving
I go to the bar, say to the staff that I have been waiting too long it's not acceptable. They say okay here's 4 pounds back.
THAT'S NOT Acceptable. No apology, no "oh we will still send it out" nothing. Didn't even refund me the full amount even though I sat there absolutely starving watching my family eat. I burst into tears (hormones may be playing a small part but Jacket potatoes were all I could stomach) as now I'm so hungry having spent nearly £50 in there when I haven't even eaten!!! No explanation for where my potato with coleslaw and tuna was. It takes 10 bloody minutes to do in the microwave.
What a way to ruin my £1500 holiday, butlins was...
