The Old Fish Bar — Restaurant in Great Britain

Stopped by tonight for my partners birthday. As big seafoodies, the opening of this place has been something we’ve been looking forward to for weeks. The service was absolutely incredible. Very laid back and down to earth, nothing performative about it. I think they’re waiting for the license so was BYOB and they were able to accommodate. Ordered one of everything to share between us. Fresh, sustainable and done to perfection. Every dish is explained to you as it’s brought out. Music was also absolutely brilliant - kudos to whoever made the playlist. If you’re looking for inexpensive, brilliant tasting tapas/small plates in Shawlands then look no further, because this is the place to go...

Went with family for a birthday/small scale reunion. Fantastic wine suggestions, highly suggest the Sicilian white.

Actual food was incredible - best mussels in Glasgow. The menu changes and we’re very excited for the next one :). We had a chat with the owner who is just the nicest guy, and had three cocktails made, all of which beyond hit perfectly, from dessert drinks to a gorgeous mix between a margarita and a paloma!

Also, a really lovely music choice with great volume - could appreciate the tunes and still chat.

Great prices, great people, great environment, and a really nice sense of community. You will love them if you love good seafood and good...

The food was great. Out for a catch-up with a friend, so we chose the fish platter and drink combos, with a bottle of wine. Started with the cold fish and two excellent cocktails, then the hot fish platter with a lovely white, recommended by the waiter. All finished off with another fantastic cocktail. The platters both had an excellent selection of different types of fish. Both the fresh and fried oyters were excellent. Portion size for two was more than enough. We had no room for desert!
