I recently visited Dnisi in Shawlands to meet a friend for coffee, and it turned out to be a delightful experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and excellent service.
The coffee was superb, perfectly brewed and just what we needed to kickstart our day. But it didn’t stop there; we decided to have breakfast as well, and it was absolutely delicious. The menu offered a great variety of options, all of which looked tempting. My breakfast was freshly prepared and full of flavor.
To top it off, we couldn’t resist trying some of the cakes on display. The cakes were heavenly—rich, moist, and beautifully presented. It was the perfect sweet treat to complement our meal.
The atmosphere at Dnisi is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and catch up with friends. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed.
Overall, our visit to Dnisi was a wonderful experience. With delicious food, excellent coffee, and outstanding service, it’s a place I highly recommend to anyone in Shawlands looking for a great coffee shop. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreI went here open day with my family. Daughter was a baby and is now almost 11yo and we regularly pop in for breakfast, lunch or coffee. It's one of our favourite cafes. The coffee is roasted on-site and is consistent in taste with Arabica and a guest bean used, coffee is consistent, beans never burnt and prepared by baristas. Best coffee in Shawlands imho. Scones are made on-site fresh each day with traditional or more unusual flavours. There is a wide selection of yummy cakes. Gluten free brownie and lemon tart being our favourites. Lunch is mainly sandwich, panini, flatbread, but there are also meals and childrens portions on offer, all fresh. Scottish tastes with a hint of middle eastern injected in. Decor is relaxing and laid out well so you are not crammed in. Best bit to last.... staff amazing. Always quick, helpful and professional and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The staff are experienced which I think makes a huge difference to the quality of service given compared to places that just hire cheap Would...
Read moreVisited on multiple occasions for ground coffee beans, which they advertise extensively, to be met with "you'll have to wait at least 20 minutes for that". When I do get the coffee, it is ground using a tin pot grinder and not their far superior in-house coffee grinder which is used for sit-in and takeaway coffees. Eventually I bought my own grinder and when I asked for a bag of there coffee beans, was told I would have to wait 10 minutes, for what exactly: surely coffee beans just get put in a bag? The coffee beans I did purchase had been roasted over 1 month prior. Over and above this, the staff are always stretched thin and this reflects in their customer service. Worth noting they advertise 8 types of ground coffee beans and only ever have two in stock. I shan't be visiting again and will happily walk an extra 5 mins to the next coffee shop.
