The Olde Trout Tavern — Restaurant in Great Britain

I made this mistake of not visiting here for a long time. The reason simply because it is by the town centre and I generally avoid pubs there. How wrong I was. Good reviews popped up of the place in my phone so gave it a go. A proper pub. Stone floor, nice bar, good beer. More importantly a friendly landlady and a huddle of regulars at the bar 'chewing the fat' and who also were friendly. Gave the place a nice feel. Will now be in my list and making it a regular...

Great place to meet friends for a drink and a chat, the staff are friendly and always remember your name and your drink.

Clare the owner and her husband are great hosts, it is always a pleasure to visit The Old Trout.

Drinks selection is extensive and well priced unfortunately I have not eaten here as yet to rate the food but I am told by friends that the food is very good and reasonably priced.
