Came in yesterday morning for breakfast. My partner went up to order for 4 of us which included 2 sausage buttys. The lady taking the order didn’t seem like she was listening or cared. A different lady came over with 2 bacon buttys. We said we didn’t order that we asked for sausage and we were told no we ordered bacon. My partner reiterated that we definitely ordered sausage and she told him he was being rude and walked off. She then came back with pancakes and we said that we definitely didn’t order pancakes either. She said she might have the wrong table and left. Then the lady that took the order came over and said that he definitely asked for bacon not sausage because she read it back to him. After explaining to her that she wasn’t really paying attention when he ordered anyway he said we can agree to disagree but we definitely wanted sausage in the buttys so we’d like it sorted. She kept going on with ‘yeah but you definitely said bacon’ and it felt as if she came over just to have an argument about it. All she needed to do was run over the order again, agree there was a mistake somewhere and get it sorted but no, she just kept arguing about it instead of helping us. We asked for a refund as we didn’t want to sit there being told we were wrong and still getting no where and the lady said her manager said we’re not allowed a refund. Asked to speak to the manager and she came and sorted the refund straight away so clearly this lady was just mad at us for what was a misunderstanding on her part. Very disappointed, complete lack of customer service and maybe the lady that took our order could do with some training on how to...

I and my mates have used this pub for a couple of years without gripe We often sit outside and I bring along my small dog - a scottie. Today at lunchtime the three of us were sat with the dog when a young waiter came out (after we'd ordered food and drinks) and told us that dogs were not allowed. I asked if he meant outside and he said neither inside nor out - stating that there were clear signs. He then went on to say he would 'allow us to finish our food'....

This seems really odd - less than a month or so there were bowls of water for the dog laid out and several of the staff came out to say hi to the dog.

When we left (not bothering to order coffee or desert as we were clearly not welcome) we paid close attention and none of us could see a clear sign or signs saying no dogs? No smoking yes...

Two things - signs need to be far far more prominent and secondly - dont serve people THEN 'allow them to finish their meal'.

I did consider heading inside to complain but decided the attitude of the waiter meant it'd fall on deaf ears.... Sadly this is now off the list as a venue for my friends...

Absolutely disgusted with the food and service me and my friends have just had! Arrived and struggled for a table because majority of them were dirty and not cleared, when finding a table we ordered our food on the app. After waiting for at least 20-30 minutes for a pizza and chips, we asked about it at the bar, the bar staff were lovely and helpful with locating our food. Another 20 minutes go past and we asked one of the wait staff and were greeted with hostility. Finally the food came out and the pizza could’ve stuck to the wall; the dough was so thick and not cooked all the way through and the chips were like a brick. We ordered dessert in hopes it would be better than the so called dinner, my friend had ordered brownie and extra ice cream and it came out without the already paid for ice cream, when we asked about the ice cream the waiter said it had come through plain, when shown on the app there was extra ice cream paid for, he just stood there with a blank expression and did not want to fix the problem so in the end we gave up and left.
