The restaurant was cold and uninviting it just didnt have a cosy dine in feel. My partner didnt remove his coat at all because the restaurant was freezing even i kept shivering. First thing i noticed was drunks sat at the bar hard to miss as they were noisy and clearly far gone. A couple of them fell off stools i mean come on its a establishment for food not a piss up at a boozy bar. We decided to stay since this meal out had been planned. Now the staff were friendly enough but not one member were familiar with the menu (if u can call a clipboard with loose sheets of paper a menu) and some of the menu was missing. We had to read out the number of our meal so i felt like i was ordering a takeaway at a chinese restaurant. A minute later a lady came to the table to take our order again even though we already gave it then another lady came and then another. So not one waitress was aware of the other waitresses and werent aware of orders being taken. It was a bit chaotic. Then the manager came out to ask me to verify our order as it wasnt stated what we wanted to begin with!!! Then after 20 minutes we got our starters fair enough it was tasty but not a lot could of gone wrong with it. Then we waited for our mains and waited and waited and waited. Finally 2 meals came to the table that werent ours. More time passed people that came into the restaurant a lot later than us were getting their meals. Then after an hour and 15 mins 2 more meals came to the table and shock horror it wasnt what we ordered. And all the staff did was give us blank looks of confusion. At this point me and my partner were starving and werent prepared to wait any longer so instead we just asked for the bill and left. So disorganised and really not worth the wait. We wont be going back to three kings again. They all need some serious training i have worked with many food establishments and training was always given beforehand. They also need to provide heating during cold weather and make the restaurant worthy of a dine in experience. Sorry three kings but you were a complete...

Bare that in mind when you go in there over the next few weeks, be patient, smile and be polite. Expect some confusions, delays, it's what comes with staff and business finding their feet at the very start of the journey and doing everything else for you! It's all part of the growing process. There's hundreds of places like this round the country that even after years of activity can't get it right 100%, let alone a newly open one.
That being said, we had a decent meal in there + friendly staff, warm & cozy atmosphere. A typical burger & chips with some salad and a flat white coffee for the two of us. Nothing fancy or extraordinary but on a miserable day like this, it actually made it better. (As a choice, I'd have the patty a bit juicer or maybe more fat in it, but that's probably not everyone's preference so I can't complain about it)
We need more places like this opening in Blandford and we need them...
Read moreCame here this evening for a birthday celebration. Reasonable sized group. 6Adults, 2 children and 3 babies (2 Pushchairs) there was plenty of room for us all. The restaurant was such a lovely atmosphere, the owner was a very kind, couldn't ask for a better gentleman. The waiter/ waitress was very lovely. Food was absolutley incredible. From starter through to dessert. Could Not Fault at all. We asked them to repeat the order as I'm sure we were confusing them with the orders but nope they got it down to the T and everything came out and exceeded our expectations. Very very organised. The children had appropriate aged cutlery which you dont see in many restaurants. Will definatley be booking to come back. Thankyou for a very...
