From walking in, service is slow and the waitress taking orders had a very bad attitude throughout. She handed me my food and said "there it is" as I went away with a half cooked bacon bap which had only been in the warming over for 10 seconds and taken out early. The price of a bacon bap is a few pennies shy of £5 for take out, more if you eat in. Prices seem incredibly high for a small market town breakfast bar. Better to go to Tesco's Cornish baker and get a really good bacon and sausage sandwich from them.

Probably the worst sausage roll ever, more paste than meat , chewy pastry and cold, asked to warm n it was stuck in an oven for 30 seconds!

Arrived just before 10am, first in the queue at that time, waited 5 minutes for a member of staff to take the orders from the queue which had built up by then. However I was completely ignored and the person behind me was asked for their order, some else arrived and took an order from the person behind them again ignoring me at the front of the queue. I then had to move to the rear of the queue to be served. Might be an idea to pose the question when there is a queue to ask the simple question who is next rather than looking at a person in the queue and assuming they are next. Then drinks arrived a good drink 3 to 4 minutes after the 2 orders behind us. It was a cold day the doors were open but the air-conditioning was blasting out cold...

Clearly the pastries, breads and cakes are good. The seats outside are pleasant and you can watch the world pass by in a relaxed atmosphere. However, the chicken and bacon roll I had was not great; while the bread roll was nice, the bacon was not great quality being way too fatty and salty, and the chicken was tasteless. The coffee, while being acceptable, could only be served with milk as they don't have cream, and the only cream they had - whipped cream - was 60 pence extra ! Lastly, they don't have ice, so the glass of tap water was warm. In 2019 all cafes and restaurants should be able to provide ice to cool down a glass of tap water. Or at least have the tap water in a jug...

You ask for hot food i.e sausage rolls or a patty and most of them apart from Vicky never ask if you want it heated up. One in particular just throws it in a bag, no please or thank you, no smile, doesn’t want to be there, really poor customer service. Just been over to get a chicken and mushroom patty to be told there’s none left and it will be at least 25 mins for any to be ready. What do they expect people to do on their lunch break? Hang around waiting? The flies pitching on the bread behind the counter has put me off going here again in...
