July 2023: Popular place some minutes drive north of Cardiff's center. Busy place with a limited number of tables. Better reserve in advance. Many people order take away so the people in kitchen were very busy so we had to be patient. The main dish portions are very big so in my case I barely could eat it all. The food ingredients are fresh with a lot of vegetables. The overall taste of the food was a bit different than what I am used to. I guess Thailand has several different cooking styles. The food is well adapted to Europe for spiceness. December: Perfectly made red and green curry for lunch. Rice and green tea. Extra 🌶️ chili. Healthy food. Taste of Thailand and Asia. Stomach very happy 😁. 6 stars meal.

Really Authentic food. I had Green Thai with Beef. It was really nice. The Beef was cooked just right and the Green Thai was amazing. Just right amount of spice, lovely vegetables and this is often poorly done at bigger establishments. My wife had the Pad Thai. She said it was the best Pad Thai she had tasted, the prawns were big and tasty, very authentic, she loved the taste. Big plates and good portion. She also had fishcake. The prices are good 8.95 a plate and 1 pound for drinks. So its very good value. Close to the castle. If visiting Castle Coch, pop into the restaurant for lunch.

A great place to get authentic and homely Thai foods. I had Prawns Pad Kra Pow and wasn't disappointed. Generous numbers of prawns and fresh vegetables. Hubby had Prawns Curry and we shared Coconut rice. The best part for us was the fish cakes starter. They were so tasty and addictive. It's a small local cafe managed by a couple of people only so be patient. The tables were limited, so I will recommend booking in advance. The only thing that I was a bit uncomfortable was that the prawns weren't deveined.

I and my kids were pleased with the food and services by the shorter waitress in the first 2 times. That was why we came back last night for my daughter's birtday treat , unfortunately we had a bad experience by the taller waitress who served mostly this time. Firstly, I came in to ask for the table which I did book 2 days ago. The shop was so busy , they did not ask anything until I sat down myself. The taller lady came with an aggressive attitude and said they did not accept any booking after 7pm as there was no admin to confirm and there was no confirming from them, that was not booked . I showed her my confirmation but she didn't want to agree the appointment I did 2 days ago. Then , she turned away with an unexpected behavior. Secondly, I did not complain about waiting for an hour to get the food for my kids who were so hungry, I do understand it was busy. When the food was arrived on the table, and still something left to be served. I came to ask for it if they forgot, that lady did not only say sorry for the delay but also rude reply "patient" with grumpy attitude. However, she was kind with the others who look richer at the other tables. Finally, she brought the last dishes to the table with an unacceptable face as she did when I reminded her earlier. She might be exhausted for a busy day, but that was not the service I expected for spending nearly a hundred pounds. That type of service should not be in the hospitality industry. At the end, the smiley and friendly lady( the shorter waitress) came and chat to us...

We stopped here on our way back from a long walk when we were looking for a sunny spot to have a drink and realised how nice the menu looked and the staff were.

So we went back the next day late in the evening and really enjoyed our meal. The starters were great, we had dim sum and chicken satay with some prawn crackers, excellent. For main two of us had the Thai green curry with jasmine rice and our son had noodles. The Thai green curry was fantastic, the only one I’ve had outside of Thailand that actually tastes like it’s supposed to, it’s very hot but so flavorsome.

They serve Singha beer too, I’ve cold in a cooling sleeve, which is lovely.

The bill was around £100 including lots of drinks, well worth it.

The staff are great too, so friendly and helpful, this is such a hidden gem and I can’t understand why it wasn’t packed out on a Saturday night. ...
