The Market Tavern Public House — Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

Me and family came here when we were on holiday the 1st time the food was ok missed a meal off so had to wait again, general pub food spent £50 between 7 people. Came a few days later for food spent about the same amount on food and drinks again. Food was 40mins late I didn't want to eat from the pub so grabbed some chips and gravy from the stalls, I sat outside the pub with my drink I bought from the pub with my family while they ate their food I was asked to move from the seats I had to stand at the side on my own to eat my chips. Really i should of asked for my money back and if the rest of the family had not already paid for their food they were going to get up and leave. Staff are very miserable no customer service. While the cost of living is so harsh on people maybe they need to think how lucky they are to be in a job. A smile using less muscles...

Sometimes a place is so good you have to keep returning, this market pub is one of them.. The food is really well cooked and the portion size and value for money is second to non.

The outside seating gives the customer a great view of the hustle and bustle of this local Norfolk market town and the inside is cosy and almost timeless.

The staff were a credit to the management each time we visited, and really helpful and accomodating to my visually impaired colleague.

Last time I had a burger today a wrap but both were mouthwatering.

There was a good selection of food on the menu but do check if you have any food allergies and ask.

This can get busy during the day which is a sign of how popular it is.
