August 2022 - We go yarmouth every year. We havent gone joyland before so we decided to see what its like. We bought the 25 tokens for £30 (at this time). Which was really cheap for the amount of rides you get to go on.. as its 1 token a ride.
My 6 year old loved the rides, we went on a couple with her, I would say that maybe some of the rides could be updated as some are a little jerky which isn't a smooth ride. But other than this they were brilliant.
I like how they do photos on a couple of rides, this was great and when we spent £10 on the images we got a free ride on the spook express. The photos were great quality and really cheap for what you get.
We went on a day where it wasn't overly busy but we went back the next day and could barely get our buggy in so my partner waited outside while my daughter went on rides. It was so crammed. Small walkways and crowds of people don't mix.
A few of the ride operators were very unhappy to be there. The girl on the pirate ship didn't even look in my daughters direction when she happily gave her the token, which was very rude, she did this on more than one go.
I noticed this with a few of the operators, faces tripping them. It's a children's mini theme park and they aren't actually acknowledging them. Would be nice if they interacted with them and got them all excited for the ride.
There is also a small arcade here too which was a little extra fun for us.
I would go again.. my girl really loved it despite the operators' bad attitudes. Best if you buy the £30 bundle as it's a...
Read moreDefinitely worth a visit if you have children it's a small theme park which can be very crowded during the holiday season. The gates open at 11am there is a small queue at first but on the rides there is no long wait usually around 5 minutes. There is the famous snail ride which is great fun and you get a sticker at the end and get you're photo taken by a photographer and you can purchase the photo from a photo shop near the snails ride. I think the area around the snail ride needs a good clean as there are a lot of photo stickers on bins and on the floor which is not a good look for the park in my opinion. My children had good fun here the rides are always well maintained really well. If you have autistic children I advise you to bring earphones as it can be really noisy at times. The tokens you can get are 12 for £20 which is a great price and you can take the tokens home and use them another day which is good worth a visit if you are...
Read moreIt's a fun little place for kids rides, bit run down. As others have mentioned, you end up having to spend x2 tokens per ride as adult supervision is needed if under 110cm. Their website says some rides have a minimum height restriction of 110cm, but actually I think ALL of the main rides require this, meaning double the tokens, unfortunately. The duration of the rides don't last very long at all, bit disappointing, but they're still good fun for the kids. We bought a £20 bag of tokens (12 tokens) which works out at 6 goes on the rides with adult supervision. Spent about half an hour here, then we were done. If your kids just want to spend a day on rides, it's definitely better value going elsewhere with a fixed entry fee and unlimited rides. However, Joyland is great if you just want to pop in for a few goes, then go and do something else...
