Tombstone Brewery & Saloon Bar — Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

Friendly place, nice atmosphere, welcoming landlord, not one of those locals bars where everyone stops and stares. Some locals as you'd expect, and want to see, and all very welcoming regardless of whether you're local or just visiting. Decent size and with about 9 or so beers on tap, most being their own brews. On that subject, the beer was excellent. Don't expect keg carbonated beer though, if you want that this may not be the place for you. Very good range of ciders too. When we went the owner was on his own and doing all the orders and table service, but the service was still quick and better singlehanded than a lot of bars we've been to with much more staff. BTW in our experience this is one of only two bars/pubs in Great Yarmouth where you can get a proper pint, and the only true real ale bar. Small but interesting brewpub in the hinterland of Great Yarmouth. The small brewery is behind the pub, I managed to take a quick glimpse into it. The pub itself is sparse but functional, most punters will take their seats at the bar. Welcoming staff, and a good selection of house and guest ales and ciders on tap. Most of them low ABV, at very moderate prices (below or around UKP 4). There's no beer garden available, just a few bench seats out in front of the pub. Simple, functional, popular with the locals, and almost unknown to tourists. I had a pint of "Tombstone Hopalong" Pale Ale (4%). It was solid. Not outstanding, but solid. You will not find a more friendly pub (saloon bar) in great Yarmouth. The bar staff are so nice and will always strike up an conversation with you. The regulars are so nice and welcoming.
