Great Yarmouth Shawarma — Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

Very upsetting behavior from this restaurant. Ordered my food 2 HOURS ago. The guy told me that someone has picked up my food 30 mins ago. I’m working as an emergency vet near the restaurant 10 mins away. So I can’t pick it up myself . When I called them for help the one of the people that answered just told me to call just eat myself so they can find a driver ( which is not possible as just eat only allows calls from the the restaurant side

I used to order all the time from there but they did lose a loyal customer yesterday

Regardless of the food arrived . Soggy and disgusting 2.5 hours later. I ate a bit from it and got sick

I’ll NEVER order from this place again given i never realised how really disturbing the customer service is when something goes wrong.

When I asked the guy to call the driver he told me he can’t. Which is a lie. When I asked him what should I do now his answer was “do whatever you want?”

So as a vet I will call food hygiene department and send vets to inspect all the meat in this place and hopefully close this restaurant if they find anything suspicious.

Food was delicious and well presented. The guys who work there were friendly and helpful, giving me a hand on what to order as I had no clue what to choose! I couldn't believe how quickly they prepared the food, it was served within 5 minutes and all was fresh and piping hot. They baked the naan on order and they were delicious! At 50p each you have to try them! You can help yourself to some authentic traditional tea which was nice too. Pricing is reasonable for the standards of food, although I'd have hoped the portion was slightly bigger for the kofte kebab meal. What a hidden gem of a place :)!

There are a lot of food choices to be found in Great Yarmouth but a lot of the food available is pretty poor, however at the Great Yarmouth Shawarma you're going to get delicious food, with friendly service from the hardworking staff and a warm atmosphere where you feel like you can chill out and enjoy the delicious food.

We had two Chicken Shawarmas, one with rice and the other with chips. Both of them were very yummy and came with a lovely crunchy salad and soft fresh bread.
