Creams Cafe Guilford — Restaurant in Guildford

RISK DEATH. Yes, that may sound dramatic, but it is very important that anybody who is thinking of going there reads this beforehand. I went in and ordered two milkshakes, one Smarties and one Kinder chocolate. The unfriendly waitress behind the counter called me over once they were both ready and said here is one Snickers and one Kinder. I queried this as I ordered a Smarties and a Kinder. She said oh sorry, I meant to say Smarties and Kinder, so I asked her if she was sure about this, and she said yes. As my wife has a nut allergy, it was quite concerning as to whether her milkshake was in fact, Smarties or Snickers, the latter containing nuts aplenty. I tasted it before giving it to her and it tasted very nutty and therefore was the snickers one! I went back and saw the same officious woman who again disagreed with then proceeded to try the milkshake and then agreed it was Snickers. No apology despite me telling her how careful she needs to be in future as this could be fatal potentially. She knew exactly what she had done but played dumb. I then proceeded to email Creams via their website that same night to advise what had happened and requested contact back but heard nothing. This was over a week ago and pretty much demonstrates the overall poor service of the staff and management who just do not give a damn about people’s...

I gave this place a good review last year . But after my last visit I am giving it 1 star . I was unfortunate enough to be served by the manager who is a extremely rude obnoxious little guy with glasses . I asked for the black vanilla ice cream and was told they didnt have any . I then enquire as to why as it is on the menu and they never seem to have it . Was then told that they had just run out . Then after further questions was told it had only been a Halloween promotion. So I then asked why had he said that they had only just run out not a few minutes prior. Which he then denied and basically call me a liar . I was actually a bit annoyed that the guy had not just been honest in the first place . Mr khan the manager here had an extremely poor attitude towards the the customers and from what I saw and even worse one towards the staff . We did actually have a very pleasant friendly member of staff come over and apologize for the incident over ordering the ice cream. When we asked who the manager was so we could complain about the guy that had served us we were informed that he was the manager. Experience in creams was horrific ! Terrible service , false advertisement on the menu , absolutely terrible , what a disappointment for something that’s meant to be delightful. I came here with my family, and on the menu there are various amounts of deserts that aren’t what they say they are, for example , “stuffed cookie dough waffle” with a picture on the menu showing what it SHOULD look like , this of course was not how it came , the waffle was just like any ordinary waffle , but the price was more expensive! Terrible service when explaining this to the staff , to the point where they physically walked away from me , a customer that is meant to be looked after , while the manager stands there and laughs not saying one word , I am absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the staff and the lies on the menu Do not go here as it is a waste of money for something not worth the time and effort for , to be treated like you shouldn’t be there!
