I go to Guildford often for work and whenever I'm in there, I make sure I visit Fresco. The food is heavenly and coffee is on another level, but the main reason I go there is to get inspired! The owner and the staff of the cafe are hands on, friendly, and polite people and what I love about their vibe is they impart happiness with anyone come through their doors. Regardless how tired are you after work, simply go there and feel extremely relaxed, treated well, and respected by the staff. There are many coffee shops in Guildford, but Fresco make you feel home like no other. You get to eat non-standard and unique food and get to chat a bit with the staff that's completely different to your work chatter and that refreshes you for the rest of day. The ethos of the owner of sharing good taste with a laughter and chilled vibe doesn't come so easy on him though. He works relentlessly to keep his small business afloat in these difficult times and regardless of how hard and difficult the work and business dynamics are, he keeps the show go on. I love seeing small businesses give their everything to keep their customers with care and service. They genuinely want to be the best in service for their customers and do anything to please them and Fresco is one of the best amongst many of them. Great work...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA first-class Greek coffee shop! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food and drinks are excellent.
There is a wide selection of beverages and pastries, including both sweet and savory traditional Greek options.
On this visit, we decided to try the crepes for the first time. I ordered the 'Must Have Ham' savory crepe, filled with cheese, ham, tomatoes, oregano, and olives. It was honestly one of the best savory crepes I have ever had! My daughter had the Nutella crepe. While it was well-made and flavorful, we hadn't realized it contained orange zest, which she wasn't fond of. Nevertheless, the quality was excellent. We also ordered the deluxe Kataifi cake, baklava, and traditional Kataifi pastry to take away, all of which were fantastic and are regular favorites of ours.
The staff kindly offered us some complimentary bougatsa to try, in both the cheese and sweet custard varieties. Both were high-quality and delicious Greek pastries! For drinks, we had the strawberry lemonade and a vanilla milkshake, both of which were very good. A great coffee shop with many greek products and delectables plus some extras like bubble...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to pick up some baklava assortments one evening and were given freebies of a freshly made bougatsa, it was heavenly. With the great taste lingering in my mind and leaving my taste buds craving for more, I went to pick up bougatsa and spinach feta pie earlier today. I was told there may not be enough bougatsa left , but was reassured that there actually is enough and quickly charged Ā£5+ for each of the bougatsa and spinach feta pie, none were weighed ā¦I only looked at home what was put in the box⦠and I was extremely disappointed! I paid Ā£5+ for a bite size of bougatsaā¦. ( see photo) And a spinach pie that had traces of filling and just hardened filo pastry( see photo). A very expensive trip to this cafe that left us with not a very good taste ā¦.. sadly not recommending this afterall⦠only recommend the staff to weigh products and provide a...
