Went for a quick small plate bite. Had to ask if it was ok to grab a table sitting outside because no one approached me. The waitress gave me the food menu an I never saw her coming back to take an order. Another one came after a long wait, took my order. I waited a bit for the wine, and quite a while for a kid's katsu portion. It never arrived, instead a different waitress brought me an adult size meal ( not katsu) arguing that I placed a wrong order. ' We do not serve kid's menu'. After a while she finally understood that I had ordered katsu kid's and cauliflower bang bang. Left. I received my kid's portion after a long wait , managed to read a few good pages of my book, almost finished my wine, watched some You Tube. Finally katsu arrived -delicious. I finished that, still no cauliflower in sight. After almost 35 minutes I asked a waitress what had been going on with that part of my border. No apologies but went to check it. Never saw her back to let me know, so I went inside ( after another loong wait) to enquire. The same waitress, with a smirk on her face asked 'it never arrived?' Or something along those lines. I was upset by that point. She, unfazed and with no apology, said 'you can complain to the manager if you are not happy". I was furious, came back to my table, cauliflower arrived. When I finished, the male waiter collected my empty plate. I asked for the bill. And I never saw him again. Went back inside after an agonising wait and asked a girl by the door:'Would you like me to pay for the food or not?' And I briefly chatted with her about what had happened. She was not compassionate and suggested speaking with the manager. I was, by that point, fed up. I like the food but I also come to a conclusion that I will never dine there again. Welcome to...
Read moreI went there for the first and the last time in my life. We were there with my mother hoping to have delicious ramens (beef and pork). The waitress with poor English didn't know how ramen is prepared and she had to ask staff. It turned out, they do not make it themselves, they get it from a supplier. The soup was disgusting. beef was scarce and disgusting. It tasted like vomit. The egg was not marinated. The egg was bland, soup was bland. Only the pork was edible. They put too much noodles and little meat. This should not be called ramen. It's misleading customers. I told them that they should include information on the menu that they do not make the ramen themselves. It was a low quality noodle soup. They think that if they add spices, the customer won't notice, that the soup lacks the deep taste of a real ramen. Total waste of money and time. I managed to eat only half of the soup because it was that terrible. I left the restaurant hungry. I paid 34 pounds. I asked for a discount but the waitress refused. They didn't offer anything instead to make up for the terrible dish they served. DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK EVER AGAIN. Oh and I've never been to such a noisy place before. Definitely...
Read moreToday we had booked for a pre theatre dinner for 6 people .we have been to Wagamama several times over the year as it’s a firm favourite of the family.however the last 2 occasions the service has been well below standard with orders missed .this visit we were constrained by time and 1 persons order was completely missed the food did not arrive .which meant that person who had not eaten all day had to go hungry. It was too late to reorder due to the time constraints for the theatre which meant that one person had no food and had to leave after being in the restaurant for at least 45min. This is not an except able level of service we normally expect from Wagamama.its a terrible shame you have not trained your staff to double check orders .the problem lies with you kitchen .maybe you need more staff in the kitchen .really disappointed.we will be in tomorrow to complain to the management...
