I've been to this cafe a few times before and overall it's been a good experience. Coffee is a bit expensive because they claim to be serving artisan coffee. This time we visited on Christmas Eve. We ordered two coffees and a brownie. We sat outside as it was getting busy inside. We waited for more than 15 minutes for our order to arrive and many people who came after us where served before us. Not sure if that was because we sat outside. When our order came my coffee was extremely milky and I asked if it could be replaced (I had asked for a very dry cappuccino but what was brought to me was more like a latte). The brownie was also not fresh and very dry. We waited for another 10 minutes before we went in to be refunded for the coffee that never arrived. It is a pity because overall this is a really cosy cafe with nice atmosphere and the manager is always pleasant and runs the place well. However the person that was serving us on the day seemed completely indifferent which is not good for the reputation...
Read moreI absolutely love this place, whenever i go to Guildford its the first place i head to grab a delicious Oat Milk cappuccino, not sure how they do it or why but its perfection especially if you sit in and if you pair it with some of their delicious baked goods (when we are allowed to again that is).
The staff are always freidly, remember you and always take the time to say hello no matter how busy, which they always are.
They do some great choices of sit in and take out food, their daily salads are really nice i often get one and take it home to have with my dinner, they also do some of the best brownies, especially the Double chocolate and raspberry one.
I also like that they support local and that you can buy their coffee beans to have at home which come from the Horsham Coffee roaster.
I have visited since lock down and they have made all the appropriate preparations to ensure you can safely get your coffee and i look forward to things returning to normal and being able to...
Read moreFar and away the best cafe in Guildford! My wife and I have been going to Krema since we moved to Guildford from New Zealand over two years ago and can't speak highly enough of the place. The best coffee served by the friendliest staff with a fantastic selection of freshly baked pastries, incredible wraps, salads and delicious sweet treats.
Being Kiwi coffee snobs we were underwhelmed by the options around Guildford for a top quality flat white but Krema has topped our charts and offers single origin filter for the smooth, percolated fan.
The cafe is perfectly situated in the heart of town between Tunsgate and Castle car parks so is always the first stop on our way into town to sit in or grab a takeaway before hitting the shops or taking a hike up stunning Pewely Down. Children and (friendly) dog friendly I would recommend...
