This was the worst Subway I have ever attended. I was disappointed and surprised because I usually enjoy the food that Subway serves. The best aspect about this particular location was that at least the employees were making an effort and they were friendly. Only one of the employees seemed to have a decent grasp of English and this is concerning. I do concede that the employees are making an effort, but in relation to food, a lack of understanding could have serious consequences.
The Subway I usually attend consistently has fresh ingredients and the person who usually serves me knows exactly what I usually order, he knows what he is doing and he has excellent customer service skills. If this was someone's first experience with Subway, it is highly likely that he or she would be impressed by this employee. If a person were to try Subway for the first time at the Bedford Road location, he or she is likely to be disappointed with the results. The food was not great at all.
The bread was stale and terrible. It tasted foul.
The meat tasted awful.
I would be curious to know how the food is stored as well as to what extent the rules of hygiene are followed. The way the bread tasted and the lack of freshness caused me to think this and be concerned. If there are language barriers, then this could have negative repercussions on the basic hygienic.

Read moreLast couple of times I went here I had a bad experience. The first time the staff member serving got my order wrong, spoiling my lunch. When I brought this to their attention I got a stock response telling me they would do better next time.
On the second visit I was charged extra for some onions despite the sign clearly stating that salad was included at no extra charge. At no point did anyone flag what I was asking to be added was charged extra. I didn't realise until after I had paid, and then when I asked for my money back I was refused. To add insult to injury my loyalty points weren't added due to the machine being broken so they said they would give me a receipt to redeem them. This was a lie.
When I complained via social media I was simply told they would not deal with me and I had to complain directly to the restaurant. Of course I get yet another stock response from them about doing better. No restitution was offered either for the added charge or the missed points.
