Welcome: I had booked a table at this restaurant after reading the fantastic reviews it had received on trip advisor. I was warmly welcomed on entering this beautiful restaurant and brought to my table
Menu : The menu was brought out by the manager Pradip who kindly helped navigate the menu and helped me choose some absolutely amazing dishes .
Meal : I had both the Chicken Tika and the Sheekh kebab as starters and both were amazing cooked perfectly . For the mains I had a chicken dish that was recommended , aloo paratha, and a veg side dish . The mains were absolutely stunning .For desert I had Kulfi.
Drinks: I enjoyed a Kingfisher beer and a salted Laasi( super thick and delicious)
Overall: The manager checked I was happy and enjoyed every aspect of my meal and was truly wonderful. 5 star hotel restaurants around the globe have a lot to learn from Pradip who happened to be both the manager and owner of this wonderful restaurant and another branch in Loughborough.
I would give restaurant 11 out of 10 . It is truly exceptional !!!! Highly recommended
Update : august 2025 This restaurant is still excellent . brilliant dishes, beautifuly presented , and staff that are very kind , helpful and truly want you to enjoy your experience . The manager Pradip has maintained the highest standards at this restaurant .. I would highly recommend...
Read moreOrdered as Takeout on their web site so they can avoid the just eat fees. Onion Bahjis Good, chicken tikka - 3 smallish pieces with a lemon slice looked a bit sorry in the container, a little salad would not have gone amiss, Chicken in this (and used in the tikka masala main) was a little on the dry side. Lamb bhuna ok, channa palak ok. crispy chilli potatoes were boiled potatoes (not crispy) but ok, paneer chilli was good, malai kofta a new one on me was interesting but more potatoey than what i see online as paneer and potatoe, rice and naan were fine. saag paneer disappointing, not like expected (google pictures) it was mostly a creamy paneer dish with a bit of spinach in it, I was expecting the opposite - (saag with a paneer cubes). A couple of the dishes had a strong coconut sauce - not a big fan of the flavour would have helped if the menu mentioned it. As we cook similar at home, its not often I find a good authentic indian - sorry! I'm sure the restaurant its a hit with the locals, but the flavours and spices in the dishes didn't come out enough for...
Read moreVery disappointed with the service I received, when ordering over the phone I specified we are vegan and that we don't eat any dairy, milk, Yoghurt, butter or cream and then I placed the order. The staff ensured that the vegetable tikka masala would be vegetarian and not vegan but he did not mention that they would be using milk powder in the food, which he called vegetable cream which I have never heard of before (this was only mentioned once the food arrived and i rang back to discuss the issue). When explaining to refund the amount he said we did tell you over the phone. We are regular customers and spend over £60 but this was not taken into account and no refund was given. In fact I was told what vegan was. Quite insulting and rude behaviour. I would not recommend this restaurant if you have dietary or specific needs. Very disappointing considering we are in 2025 and there is no consideration to adapt to the customer or being extremely clear when talking to...
