Whilst looking for options for a nice takeaway I stumbled across Casa Nostra. Reviews looked good, pictures of the food looked good so I placed an order for delivery.

I called them at 7.16pm for two pastas and a side of chips. Nothing too fancy or complicated. (And frankly a takeaway wouldn’t be a takeaway without chips, now would it?)

The young lady on the other end of the phone was nice and said the order was placed and they would deliver it.

Nothing had arrived by 8.16pm so I called again, and the young lady said the order had been delivered. Then, worryingly, she couldn’t find the order at all. She took down my address and order again, apologised, and said that the she would get the food delivered.

8.43pm arrives and still no sign of any food, so I called again. The young lady answered my call, asked me what I’d ordered, and informed me that the food was being cooked as we speak.

Then at 9pm my food finally arrives, having taken almost two hours for some pasta and some chips.

However, I was offered only a verbal apology.

No discount, no freebies, no coupons for another order to say: ā€œWe’re really sorry we messed this up, but we value you as a customer and we’d like to make it up to youā€. Instead, I still payed full price for food that should’ve found its way to me 2 hours ago.

I payed £25 for two bowls of pasta, chips, a hangry girlfriend, and the feeling of my self worth plummeting through the floor.

I’ve given it 1 star for the food actually getting here, which is the takeaway equivalent of a point for spelling your name correctly at the top of an exam paper.

I’ve literally had better service from a kebab shop that’s staff were covered in grease and were dealing with 15 drunken people slurring their orders for cheesy chips.

The young lady on the phone was really nice but clearly very young and inexperienced, and I think that it’s shocking that the management of this restaurant didn’t take notice and actually provide some form of customer service.

My receipt states that the order was entered at 20:37:33 on the 10th Feb 2018 (Just incase the owners want to look it up and make sure it’s a real review).

Please bear in mind I first...

We visited for dinner and whilst it all tasted fine, the restaurant is lovely and the staff were very attentive, I’m sorry to say that we felt that it was slightly overpriced. Our total came to just under Ā£33 per head, including a small tip, for a starter, pizza and large bottle of beer each, which we felt was a little too heavy what we had.

Breakdown: Ā£8.15 per 620ml bottle of Peroni beer Ā£8.50 per bruschetta (medium sized pieces of baked pizza style bread with a few small tomatoes and diced onions in the middle and a bit of balsamic glaze over the top) Ā£13.75 for a 9ā€ garlic bread with cheese Ā£15-16 per basic pizza (one of which we upgraded for Ā£2.75 more - this was much better, aesthetically and taste wise, but it cost nearly Ā£19)

Whilst being tasty, it lacks some genuine authenticity (although as this is often the case with cuisine appropriated for the British market, it is not unusual or a major critique - the aim is to provide something that customers want, rather than a fully authentic experience). As an example, Bruschetta should only really consist of toasted bread, rubbed with fresh garlic and topped with tomatoes, salt, olive oil, topped with a little basil on top. The basic pizzas, I could not tell you what region of Italy serves this type, with the upgraded ones being a little closer to Roman style.

NB. The 2 course set menu for Ā£22.99 saves you less than Ā£1 in most cases. It’s only really worth it if you have a dessert too. If you have 3 courses I think that it is quite good value versus ordering from the Al a carte menu.

Overall, we thought that Casa Nostre provided a pleasant dining experience, with nice food and great service, but lacked some authenticity and is more expensive than other...

I have ordered from casa nostra several times for takeaway and the quality never fails so we decided to eat in on 29th December a large table of 13. It seemed there was a lady front of house and a young gentleman serving. He seemed very pleasant, was polite, attentive however, the same cannot be said for the female. She took a drinks order and was unable to wait for everyone's before leaving. We asked to order more as some were missed which instead of simply taking the additional order she responded "they all said they didn't want one" which was not the case. This is around 15 minutes into arriving the rudeness began. We then ordered and the food got partly served to members on the table, she then took another tables food before finishing ours. She did ask if the food was ok and the fries were overcooked so a fresh bowl provided however, I could hear her making comments about this to the kitchen without trying to be descreet how we had eaten half before mentioning it however, we were all very hungry by this point and with a wait due to it being a large table all tucked in. The bill had additional items added on which we raised, no apology given she simply responded "I best take them off then". By this point her rudeness had become a bit of a joke to the table and we all laughed about it and still tipped generously however, sadly we will not be going back anytime soon and I feel our thoughts would be different had the young gentleman been tending to us. I understand larger groups can be difficult to obtain orders from due to chit chatter however, her responses and attitude I don't think fit hospitality. The food...

Casa Nostra is a lovely little local and independent Italian restaurant in Market Harborough. Times are difficult for small businesses at the moment so we wanted to order a local take out from an independent. They are offering takeout and delivery. We had two steaks which were medium rare as ordered, delicious. The chips were crisp and tasty and the broccoli I was tender. The peppercorn sauce was so yum and creamy. We also had the chocolate hazelnut cheesecake for dessert - perfect. The main food was hot when we got it home and we could have liked our plates clean. Also, there was a little gift in the bag for Mother’s Day which was such a cute surprise! Highly recommended šŸ‘

Living here has always wanted to come once The price is mid-range for the area We tried their lunch on Saturday The lunch set has significantly improved the cost performance Not many menu choices But it has included the most representative food of the restaurant The first choice must be their pizza Remember to add 2.25 upgrade to crispy grande pizza because it's so delicious The whole pizza tastes very good and become lighter More delicious with chili oil Even one person can eat it all In addition, spaghetti is also very famous very strong cheese flavor Worth a try!
