Great lunch time price works out 2 mains for £12.99. I have been here a few times for lunch had a lot of there Chicken dishes, pasta and pizza. I think it is great value for lunch especially if you have kids.
This place is simple food but to be fair if you are used to authentic italian food all cooked from scratch it probably will not be for you. I have eaten at many many italian restaurants and expensive ones the food is quite different do not expect steaks or beef or varied italian starters as you will not get that here, But i still think this is a great find for lunch time prices.
I do think a lot of the food is brought in not all cooked fresh i would be surprised if the pizza dough is made in house as it seems quite similar to supermarket type base and the garlic bread shop bought slices. There cheesecake desserts are nice so the death by chocolate but the Veneto Eton mess is not nice at all it is served in a normal glass and squirty cream from a tin not whipped fresh cream like most eton mess would be so by the time you get it the cream has just melted and your left with some bits of fruit and tiny bits of meringue and a fruit liquid and no proper cream. I think they should mention this is just squirty fluffy cream it is certainly not how you have a eton mess squirty cream fine with the other deserts but for a eton mess it is a cop out. I have eaten eton mess and many places and all been with proper whipped cream.
But i still give this 4 stars because of there fantastic lunch time deal and a good menu for kids like curly fries etc. The prices are still reasonable in the evening but that reflects in the lack of more complicated italian cooking like you get elsewhere but a lot of other italians will charge a lot more for the authentic food and you will have a lot of seafood choices and steak etc and desserts all made...
Read moreBeen here a few times when passing through it's a very casual pizza parlour type Italian. The food is reasonably priced for what it is on a lunch deal but a lot of it is a very basic menu so don't expect really good quality italian restaurant because this is not it and i have eaten in a lot of italian restaurants this place is mostly some pasta, pizza and couple of chicken dishes.
Pizzas are ok not typical Italian though, some of the pasta dishes are hit and miss. Had a chicken penne with masala sauce that was quite nice, the baked chicken pasta is ok too but their spaghetti Bolognese was awful it was watery with no flavour just very bland it tasted and looked like one of the very cheap end basic microwave meals you get and i cook spag bol a lot and my one is full of rich flavours but this was a huge let down.
The restaurant itself could do with a make over it's worn and out dated. I still think it's ok for a quick lunch visit but just don't expect too much. Staff are...

Visited Wildwood for the first time in 12 months, as we’ve always enjoyed eating there prior, but what has happened?
Greeted as we entered to be told, we have none of this, none of that, none of the other, oh and cash only payments today, the machine is bust!
Taken to our table where we walked by a bar full of empty and dirty glasses etc. and noted many other customers sat with their empty plates on the tables (alarm bells started to ring).
Menus came promptly but then after 10 minutes of not being given any attention, not even ‘What would you like to drink?’ we decided to bail before we wasted any more time (and our money). We went to a locally run Italian called Veneto’s around the corner where service was great and food was too!
Given what we’re coming out of the crazy lockdown world, I’d have thought restaurants need to be on their A-game, sadly Wildwood not so and would get zero stars if I...
