Fireaway Pizza Harlow — Restaurant in Harlow

Following a disappointing pizza experience elsewhere I came to Fireaway with low expectations. The moment I walked through the door all doubts are gone, the place is bright and vibrant with large clear menus, a spacious customer area and a bitcoin ATM. From this vantage point you can see the large pizza oven with a rotating base, also the vast selection of toppings available.

You can have your pizza made with a BBQ base, or garlic, for the sake of fair comparison I only have a margarita. There is a sign that says your pizza cooks in 180 seconds, I didn't time this but my pizza was ready very quickly and it is excellent.

Base is good, with a dough that has depth to it flavour and a good amount of char to the underside (I would like a tiny bit more) and a nice chew to the crust. The tomato is lovely, light and fresh tasting, all the ingredients are fresh and this really comes through in the final product. Cheese... Cheese is where a pizza can become top tier and the cheese is very good, beautiful stretch with an excellent burn to the very top and actual flavour, skimping on cheese shows and Fireaway have not skimped. I had the regular margarita there is a "queen margarita" available which comes with buffalo mozzarella and I'd imagine that is gonna be next level.

So after all these things are added together what do you get? There is a very welcoming place with really friendly and enthusiastic staff, clear and simple menus, excellent pizza with quality ingredients.

I visited Fireaway Pizza in Harlow today for the first time while visiting a friend from London and it will definitely be my last time.

One of the staff members, wearing a white shirt, was extremely rude. He didn’t speak properly to me, made comments in another language to his colleagues (which was clearly about me), and acted with complete disrespect. His tone and attitude were unacceptable for someone working in customer service.

Instead of making me feel welcome, he created an uncomfortable and hostile atmosphere. I ended up leaving the store without ordering because of how badly I was treated.

If this is how Fireaway Pizza Harlow treats new customers, then they’ve lost me forever. I strongly urge the manager to address this staff member’s behaviour immediately and train him on basic respect, manners, and professionalism.

So happy to finally have proper authentic fast-fired pizza in Harlow - no more traipsing to Bishop's Stortford (sorry Petruccio's!) to get our good pizza fix! Tried for the first time the other night and it did not disappoint! Turned up when promised and perfectly hot. Also pleasantly surprised to see great meal deals on the menu - pizza and a gelato 'space rock' (delicious!) for £11 can't be argued with. Can't wait to order again - will be forcing ourselves to wait a week or two for the sake of our waistlines lol, but could honestly eat this every day if there weren't any consequences! Fans of greasy 'quantity over quality' pizzas may not love it quite so much, but for us it's exactly what we've been waiting for. No pics only because we gobbled it up before taking any, but rest assured everything looked just as good as the ones on...
