Prince Of Wales — Restaurant in Hart

I visited this pub last month I was really impressed the pub is modern with a real nice family feel. Sports is available and I will be going to watch plenty of the matches as there are plenty of big screen televisions around the pub but this doesn't affect the families as there is a separate resturant area There is a really nice outside area that is family and pet friendly. There were 6 people in our party four adults and 2 children and we all had a great time, the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good time, the waitress really genuinely cared about the quality if our food and if we enjoyed it. The food is delicious and great quality and is a great price. You can find lots of pub classics and some great steak challengers which The look mind and belly blowing... I am going back to try one. The deserts were also fantastic I really recommend the chocolate cake with custard! The service we received was one of the best I have ever received in a pub and our waitress was smiling and clearly enjoying her Job. I particularly took note of how clean the toilets where and the guy (manager) was checking and cleaning them. The kids managed to have a play in the garden as there is a small play area for them which they loved. The outside area has had a lot in of work done from before the lock downs and is fresh and modern, you can even sit out there if its raining! I think there is a new menu. I'm really impressed at the pub and could not recommend this place any higher. The staff are great and really friendly. It's a really easy pub to get to and certainly in my opinion the best in fleet. Drinks are great price and the IPA and draught beers are delicious. There's plenty of parking on site which is also free of charge. If you’re not a regular they could not care less! Booked a specific table for two England games to be told (on the day) a load of excuses (none of which were a problem at the time of booking) why we had been moved and the same regulars got both of our bookings. Didn’t bother calling me and were not at all apologetic! Seriously not good!

Updated: Now they have cancelled my second booking because... 'the way I made the manager and staff feel'. Didn't raise my voice once. How do you air grievances without telling them?! Complaining gets you cancelled! Major narrative spin me thinks. Absolutely terrible!!

Following your response below and just for the record: My conversation with you was to let you know how I felt about your decision to move us and that we felt lied to, not to change anything. I knew you weren't going to move your friends. One of your staff even confirm to me the reason we were moved was because they were regulars! I didn't threaten to leave bad reviews, I promised to send a complaint (a first for me), which I did the following morning. It would have been nice (if there was an issue with our booking) to have been called about the change or told at the time of booking. I'm sorry if anyone felt uncomfortable with me complaining or wanting to put in a complaint, I wasn't out to upset anyone, just felt very unwelcome and my family were disappointed. took friends here once before and they requested we go again ,suffice to say this place has gone down hill big time,bar staff didn't really know if we had a table booked so just said over there will do.cutlery was disgusting...and food was equally poor for all of our dinners....my starter was very simple but they left off the mayo dip ...our friends garlic bread arrived after we had finished ours. main dinners were awful,the sausages were small and pathetic placed on a small amount what was described as mash and no more than a spoonful of gravy ....my wife and my mates wife had steak but were full of fatty rind and gristle,onion rings were ordered but only arrived after asking at the bar twice as to what happened to them,they had finished their main meals by the time the onion rings arrived.....my wife and i have eaten here on a regular basis but this is the last time as thing wont change anytime soon. children were present in this place and the behavior of some of the older males there were disgusting they were threatening to get certain male body parts out...two ladies behavior was also strange choosing to visit the toilets at least on 8-9 occasions that we counted......all tv,s had the sound up so loud you had to shout to have a conversation.....what ever happened to the great lady and staff that were here before.....this is not child friendly from where we...
