Rice Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Hart

Firstly, I have used & recommended Rice Chinese restaurant in Yateley for years & have always found the food to be of excellent quality accepting that the place has zero charisma. I went with a friend this week & was exceptionally disappointed with the quality of the food, the aromatic crispy peeking duck was abysmal, looked like it had been boiled & absolutely NO crispy bits; looked & tasted awful, when I queried this with the waitress serving she was completely uninterested in my complaint. Not wishing to marr my evening, I never ate any of it & moved on to the mains ordering sezuan beef and Kung Po king prawns, the beef was horrible & chewy, the prawns had a distinct unfresh taste, once again I mentioned this to the waitress, again she was unreceptive to my complaint. I ending up leaving virtually all of this, paid & left extremely disappointed. I will not recommend or use them again, such a shame! I had the pleasure of dining at Rice Chinese, and it was truly an experience. The flavours were authentic, bold, and beautifully balanced. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, from the perfectly seasoned Kung Po Chicken and fresh and flavourful Hot and Sour Soup. The presentation of the food was impeccable, and the portion sizes were generous.

Ordered online and arrived for collection only they had no idea of our order. Had to show them the email, and they still got the order wrong. Worst part was the food. Really bland and cold. All looked and tasted barely cooked. Rice had no soy sauce in it, duck was pink and covered in wobbly fat, the dough in the sweet and sour chicken balls was still wet and just about cooked. 6 pieces of duck in the dish and 10 mushrooms. Rice used to be brilliant a couple of years ago but really gone down hill....
