4 of us went this evening to the Liban Coast. I must say this was a delight. The food was delicious and the service impeccable, friendly and attentive but not in the slightest bit intrusive. Much of the menu is accessible to vegetarians without them feeling as if what was on offer was mere tokenism. If you want alcohol though it’s bring your own but at only a £2.50 person corkage fee, our wine was still better and cheaper than in most restaurants. For starters we ordered a babaganoush and a meze for one. More than adequate for four and as much flatbread as we wanted, the babaganoush had a a delicious Smokey flavour, and the meze was varied generous and tasty. For mains, two of us had a special which was three baby courgettes stuffed with minced lamb and Egyptian rice sitting in a rich and flavoursome tomato, spiced sauce, another had an aubergine tagine served in her own not so small tagine pot, I was wondering what to have and asked what was best when the owner appeared and said they’d make me an off menu chicken dish, so why not again the flavours were interesting and delicious. We were on a roll, so when the prospect of desserts was mooted it felt churlish not to partake, we ordered one portion of baklava (nutty and not overly sweet) and two portions of ice cream. The ice cream was two flavours, one rose water the other pistachio and probably the best Pistachio I’ve had for many years full of pistachios and flavour, the other sprinkled with rose leaves, smooth, creamy and unctuous. We all felt both indulgent and indulged. The surprise was how modest the bill was! The total was £84.50 (£10 of which was corkage) so terrific value for the quality of what we had enjoyed. I think we all felt we could heartily recommend this place and are making plans to...
Read moreWe had the most amazing experience at Liban Coast in St. Leonards! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Jayden, our waiter, whose friendly and chatty nature set the tone for a fantastic evening. Shortly after, Hassan, the wonderful host and owner, also came over to greet us with a warm welcome, making us feel right at home.
Throughout the evening, both Jayden and Hassan looked after us, ensuring we had everything we needed. Jayden worked tirelessly, making sure that all customers were having the same wonderful experience we were. Jayden’s enthusiasm and dedication were truly impressive. He’s an absolute asset to the team with a bright future ahead.
And then there was the food…absolutely incredible! The chefs outdid themselves, creating some of the most delicious Lebanese-Syrian cuisine we’ve ever had. Every dish was bursting with flavour, and we could tell how much care and passion went into each one. A special highlight of the night was meeting Mohamad, the head chef, who took the time to come over and chat with us. His warmth and passion for his food were evident, and it was clear that his skill and dedication are at the heart of the restaurant’s success. He is truly an asset to Liban Coast, making the dining experience even more memorable.
Liban Coast is a true gem in Saint Leonards, combining outstanding food with warm and genuine hospitality. High quality food at affordable prices. We can’t recommend it highly enough…five stars all the way!

Read moreWe were served by a young lady at Liban Coast, a nice and charming welcome into this little gem. My partner wasnt familiar with the food so she asked a couple of questions, the young lady took her time to answer my partners questions until we were ready to order. Food did not take long to arrive, appetizers arrived first, hummus and a nicely warmed up pita bread was served along with it. Shortly after my partner was served with her main, halloumi salad, and I was served with my order, a chicken shawarma. Both were delicious, fresh, and tasty. Arabic coffee was then served in a traditional turkish cezve which is used across several arabic countries. It is important to point out, this is not a fully fledged Lebanese restaurant, the menue contains light fresh foods that are easy to eat, it does not contain the long list of Lebanese appetizers and grilled/fried meats, however it's made to give you a taste of the middle eastern foods in an easy, light and friendly atmosphere ... our total bill for Halloumi salad, chicken shawarma, coffee, hummus, and baklava and birds nest came at £33, I would recommend it for people going to enjoy the beach and wish to grab a bite, you may sit and enjoy the sea views or take your food to the beach, the decorations and the music make you feel like you're somewhere in the middle east.. Syria/Lebanon/Egypt/Jordan kind of...
