Fantastic pub. Great selection of lagers and ale. Wonderfully welcoming atmosphere and well worth the short walk from the station. A dog and some children were there when we visited on a Saturday afternoon which added to the homely, friendly feeling of the pub (I imagine there is a cut off time when children have to leave - something I fully agree with, as a parent!) The toilets are spotless, as is the rest of the pub and there is a lovely little courtyard garden with heaters and a tele for sports. It used to be a great place a while ago when ran by Badger etc. However the current landlords treat it as an extension to there living room. There's a dog that is pestering to people and other dogs but owners do nothing about it. It stings of old dog smells with dog hair all over the floor etc. It's not regularly vacuumed / cleaned. It is a shame as unless it changes it will go further down...
