Very rude member of staff. We was greeted nicely as we entered from the torrential downpour outside. Whilst trying to get our masks out a member of staff started shouting at us to put our masks on which we was in the middle of doing. Rather than leaving it at that he continued to be rude and abusive to the point my partner felt very uncomfortable and we had to leave before even being able to sit down. Never have I experienced such unnecessary verbal abuse. I can absolutely see why they was the only restaurant that had seating available. Ordered 3 small chips and fish and sausages and they were the smallest portion of chips for £2.50 that I have ever seen. You get more chips from a small McDonalds fries. If I had known that the portions were that small for the price I would not have ordered there. That was why there were no queues. A short walk away along the front and there are other chips shops with friendlier staff and bigger portions of chips. I visited this place because I saw all the good reviews but I was really disappointed. Expired mayo on the table, chef had a long beard and not wearing a beard snood, 5 stars rating by the council but not really a date of inspection or the name of the place written on the sticker on the window. Also, the place was full of spiders. Regarding the food, the portion was really satisfying but the fish and chips were blunt with no flavour at all. Last but not least, they only accept cash and the receipt was just a number on a piece of paper....
