This place has so much potential. It's got a lovely little wood burner, snug seating, it's cosy and atmospheric. There's always something interesting on tap if you like craft beer. But everything is ruined by the least friendly landlord this side of Tehran. Don't even think about asking for a taster as you would in any other pub that sells unusual beers. You'll be lucky to get a millimetre of froth. What a miserable sod. But the beer is good and so are the peanuts. I like trying new beers of any style and was surprised to walk in to the Jolly Fisherman and find all 7 beers on tap were beers I'd not had before, including 2 dark beers.
