I've been to a lot of crazy golf places over the years that when I went as a kid it was cool but has been left to become run down with no maintenance... this is not one of those places!
There are 3 different courses to choose from, the pirate one is probably the most active as it has the cool pirate theme, two pirate ships that every so often have a battle and there are explosions going off with machines sending water blasts flying up and over some of the golf course areas / holes. The adventure course is pretty cool too and has a few robotic things with water being squirted. The 3rd course is more of an old school style crazy golf course... nothing fancy and not the prettiest to look at but possibly more challenging holes (I haven't played this course as of yet so cannot confirm).
Both times I've been here the courses have been kept in very good condition, nothing in a state of disrepair or needjng a lick of paint, everything is clean and in very good condition with next to no rubbish around the course so big respect to the maintenance team as its not often you find a course that has been kept so well.
One thing I will say is that it does get busy and is possibly one of the things that attracts people to Hastings, me and my friends travelled all the way there from Gravesend just for crazy golf and fish and chips on the beach and it was worth it. The most recent time was on a date and it was great fun even if play was a little slow due to being busy but we expected that considering its the...
Read moreEven though we visited Hastings Adventure Golf in the winter, we thoroughly enjoyed it. If I could give this 4.5 stars, that would be my choice.
The reason being that my only gripe was standing water on parts of the course due to recent bad weather but that's not really their fault.
Other than that, 3 generations of our family had a great time. We played two of the courses and laughed a lot on the way round.
All the holes are very different and make you think hard before putting. We had a few hole-in-one's and a few disastrous holes.
This meant that the courses are in no way too easy with some more difficult than others. Great fun for young and old.
At the end of your round, you give your balls back in a very entertaining way with the chance to win a free round. I'm a golfer and found the holes challenging and a lot of fun.
The fact it is reasonably priced and right on the beach with lots of other things to do nearby makes this a great day out.
Well worth a visit but get there early in the summer to bag a...
Read moreAt the end of a day eating ice cream and walking the sea front, it's fun to unwind playing adventure golf and this place has been here for years in various forms, so they have the whole thing running like clockwork. I've played on all the various coastal miniature and crazy golf courses since childhood and this is the most substantial one I've seen, with animatronic characters squirting water and lovely waterfalls flowing past your head as you make your way around the course. There are three courses here, the adventure, pirates and the standard crazy golf with the legacy holes, windmills and ramps etc. All have a chance to win a free game at the end. The prices are a little steep at first glance but you soon realise the upkeep involved, making these clean and playable courses, so don't be put off. Allow about an hour or more if it's busy, as you'll end up waiting behind other players but the 6 shot maximum helps with that. Great fun, very...
