Beautiful woman says, “Let’s go for lunch.” We walk in—nothing but vibes. I look at the menu, and the Black man in me immediately sees no chicken… red flag. But the vibes are right, so let’s see what she orders (she said she was a regular).

Scrambled eggs on toast—not something I’d usually go out for, but I’m here now. The waitress comes to the table, chatting with her like they’re best friends. Hmm… okay! “What will you have?” she asks. I’m like, “Hit me with the scrambled eggs too.”

“Hash brown?” she asks. “Yes,” I respond. “Which one?” “Surprise me,” I reply.

Like… what type of place is this? Different types of hash browns? Hmm.

Best scrambled eggs I’ve had in my life—and I’m greying. The sourdough? Buttered to perfection—crispy on the outside, soft in the middle. The eggs? From what I can only assume were free-range, pampered chickens—exquisite, soft, creamy, seasoned to perfection. The hash...

The 5-star reviews are all absolutely valid. I went here this morning with my sister and we both fell in love with it! The staff are all so friendly and helpful, which is a bonus on top of the great service. You can’t book so you just turn up but if there’s no tables available there’s plenty to do around Havant whilst you’re waiting (they’ll take your name and number and call you or tell you to go back within a time frame). The atmosphere is good vibes as they’ve got music playing and there’s also a selection of games you can play and the decor is cool. The scrambled eggs and hashbrown with Parmesan and truffle are to die for!! We also got some sweet treats from the bakery which were also amazing I can’t wait to go back already....

The staff at Ethos are all amazing, friendly, upbeat & cannot do enough for you to make you comfortable. Picky eater here, they’re happy to swap about ingredients you don’t like and add in something more suitable. Have recommended to other people all of which go and have the exact same opinion. Coffee amazing, hot chocolate amazing & lots of cream on top and mini marshmallows- yum! 🤤 all ingredients such high quality & if you don’t have a hash brown did you even go to Ethos? A must have!
