UPDATE:
Actually rather good tonight. Came back to try again after a while away and I have to say a marked improvement! The ribs have changed totally and the boyff thought they were really good. Finally full sized ribs rather than skinny little ones the same size as a chicken wing. Very good flavour. Chicken chow mein was good enough, although quite light on the chicken. Singapore vermicelli noodle have stepped up and tasted good. Fluffy chicken balls and decent sweet and sour sauce. Super quick delivery.
So, I did as I said I would and gave it another go. Again, the delivery was early, polite driver and food was piping hot. So, I changed it up a bit and ordered some completely different items off the menu. Fried lamb with ginger and spring onions, soft noodles with beef, salt and pepper wings, sweet and sour chicken and my normal favourite Singapore noodles. So, the noodles distinctly lacked flavour, bland and boring and I have to add salt and pepper to them, which really shouldn't happen with Chinese food, and it is even more annoying knowing that I could have made them better myself - and I am no cook let me tell you. The lamb, well this could have been any ginger and gravy dish. Fried soft noodles and beef (Chow mein) was okay, as for the sweet and sour chicken, well, not too sure what they were trying to accomplish here! See the pictures. It was almost their version of popcorn chicken with a tub of S&S sauce, but it was chewy and basically tough as old boots. I binned it. So, I've been fair as I ordered it again, on a different night, with some different dishes and now the decision most definitely is meh. I won't use this one again as there are some much better ones...
Read moreI was made to feel very uncomfortable and like a criminal trying to con them , I went in with family and my 2 children I said they were both eating , son A decided he didn't want anything so it was changed to one child , after my son B ate one slice of prawn toast he didn't want anything else so son A decided to finish the plate off the lady was straight over with an acusing look saying she was charging for both now I explained he was just finishing the younger sons small plate but she insisted I was charged full price for both children when they had bearly touched a thing( I hadn't even said I wouldn't pay I don't know what her problem was ) by this point everyone was staring at us it was very awkward and uncomfortable I just wanted her to go away and stop hovering with her glaring eyes and acusing words so I said that's fine , I will never go again and I've been going my whole life you eat and you pay she should of left us alone and then charged at the end of what they felt they had eaten not come back and forth talking about money just because the children had changed Thier minds. Also as we left my mum saw a member of staff use the toilet and walk out with out...
Read moreI went to this restaurant 13 hours ago and the start of my trauma began throughout. Firstly, under covid rules buffets should be served on plates by restaurant servers. This did not happen and customers served themselves. They allowed a man to go up to serve himself without a face mask so he was breathing all over the food. Secondly, the staff did not care about cross-contamination by refilling the food by putting 2 types of different items in the same refill bowl (so mixed vegetable spring rolls with chicken balls- what about vegetarians and those with allergies?). When we paid at the end, to our shock and horror they said they only take cash- this is 2021 and a covid world. Who handles cash these days? One of us had to stay seated whilst the other went to get cash elsewhere. I have been very unwell since my visit which points to poor food hygiene. It's a shame because I like supporting small businesses but I would not eat...
