This place has gone down in terms of quality and service. Went in and ordered a takeaway, on the menu I had taken in with me (no date on the menu and I had this in front of the waiter to point out what I wanted) 2 of the items we ordered had naan bread included, so I ordered 2 more naan’s, a garlic one and a plain one. We got home with 2 naan’s, but we’re missing the 2 extra I had ordered, so I rang the restaurant to explain but they were rude, not friendly (come to think of it I did say to my husband when we were in there and I asked to pay the waiter was quite rude in his manner and just kept saying “sit down “, no please or, your order will be with you please take a seat-he told me to sit at least twice) they passed the phone to other staff members who accused me of not ordering them. They were not interested when I told them I ordered from my menu in the restaurant and 2 were supposed to be included anyway, they just kept saying the dishes were not inclusive of the naan’s and I got what I ordered, not very pleasant at all. On top of this the 2 we did have were both plain and the chicken in one of the dishes was that dry we couldn’t eat it. The raita was lovely! Won’t be visiting again especially when there are others nearby that...
Read moreI've been to this restaurant a few times with family and it's been ok, however the most recent visit for my daughter's birthday wasn't good. Slow service, waiters that don't listen and we were billed wrong, not in our favour I hasten to add. One meal we ordered was too hot (chilli) to eat, we told the waiter who just brushed it off and said it's supposed to be hot. We eat hot curries regularly and know how they should taste. This was inedible it was so hot. So we didn't have a nice meal, cooks sometimes make mistakes, but when the bill came and we were charged for a few things we shouldn't have been, it made it worse, then the manager didn't offer anything for our poor meal even though he openly admitted several other customers had also complained about that specific dish, due to using a new extra strong chilli powder. Eventually after much debate he deducted the items we didn't have and very reluctantly offered us a £6.50 reduction for the ruined meal. An open apology and the offer to return at another time for a free meal would have gone down better, whereas now we will simply go elsewhere, there are plenty to...
Read moreWe are looking a good flavour Indian dishes in the area. We read leeja reviews which was quite good so decided to give it a try. We ordered prawn puri, garlic chicken and papadorms+dips for starters. Chicken tikka masala, chicken korma and chicken biryani for main with sides keema Naan and coconut rice. I must say all dishes were presented nicely, clean taste and can tell they were freshly preps and no adding any left over foods from somewhere (like others did). Although I am not too keen on the prawn puri due to lack of flavour which compared to tikka and korma explosive nice flavour. I wouldn't recommend biryani either, the rice is lack of spices aroma and not quite similar to the best one I had tasted before (they were steamed for quite a long time also scattered fried onions and a boiled egg along the dish that sort). For a almost £10 biryani dish, I hope you really putting some effort to make it worth for the price. However, the service and delivery were super efficient and only took 40mins on Saturday night. Well done team and keep up the good work. We...
