It really is no exaggeration when I say that Hollycroft park in Hinckley is quite simply one of the most beautiful places on earth for me personally. I live just down the road from this wonderful park and I have so many fond memories of visiting, in the summer you literally can’t keep me away from the place. It has been voted consistently as one of the ten best parks in the whole country and continues to hold a Green Flag award. The locals of Hinckley, myself included take incredible pride in Hollycroft Park. We love it and cherish it and are eternally grateful for having it right on our doorstep. Many towns do not have green spaces as picturesque and welcoming as Hollycroft and I am so glad that I can stroll out of my house with my dog and give her a walk in such a beautiful environment. Of course parks are not just for looking and and walking around, they are there to be used and enjoyed and for memories to be made in them. Hollycroft has usability in abundance. There are so many facilities and things to do there. There is a pitch and put, a bowling green, tennis court, two ping pong tables, a small outdoor gym, male and female toilets and one with disabled access, areas with benches and a classic bandstand that actually gets used. In the summer you could spend the entire day there, bring a picnic and a few drinks (make sure to take tour rubbish home) and never run out of things to do. The park hosts many events, most of which are organised by the incredible Friends of Hollycroft Park group, these volunteers work so hard to bring amazing experiences to the park, my favourite of these being Music in the Park. This event runs every other week during the summer months from 1-3pm and has a varied selection of acts performing, from rock to classical. I try never to miss any of these as they are brilliant, my fiancé and I even invested in a pop up tent to maximise our enjoyment. As soon as the events are announced they go straight in my calendar so I am sure not to miss any of them. The Friends of Hollycroft Park also do volunteer gardening and encourage locals to join them. They also organise a Variety Night every year where a local opera group perform on a Friday evening towards the end of summer, very classy. The park has a Pavilion which is run by the Friends and the bowls club that is often open during the summer and its quite nice to walk past the bowling green and seeing people enjoying a game. Most years they also do a Proms in the Park, they are always an amazing event but the greatest of all was last years to celebrate the Queens Jubilee, I have never seen the park so busy, the bandstand area which is quite large, reached capacity and people were sitting all over the park to listen to the music, there must have been several thousand people there that day and the atmosphere was electric, I will remember that event for the rest of my life. The organisers even gave everyone free Union Jack flags, such a nice touch. Charities such as A Gift to Lift have also hosted Cinema in the Park, unfortunately none have happened since the pandemic but I absolutely loved watching Bohemian Rhapsody and Pretty Woman there, drinking cocktails while watching movies in such beautiful surroundings. The park is incredibly well maintained with so many beautiful flowers and trees, so much love and care is put into making this such a wonderful environment. It has its own little nature trail and has loads of bird boxes, it’s full on life, you can sit and watch the birds, squirrels and insects all day and never get bored. The park is also dog friendly, apart from the bandstand and the pitch and put area, so you see so many cute dogs, it really is a great place for everyone. Me, my partner, my dog Pickle, our family and our friends all love this place so much, it’s a place to meet people, have fun times and enjoy the beauty of nature, and more often than not listen to amazing music. My passion for this park will never dissipate, it’s one of my all time favourite places, check it out and see why I love it so much.

Splendid 1930's Park. Well managed and clean All trees labelled for those 'tree huggers' Cafe kiosk - large pitch n put golf course - 2 hardstanding tennis courts - lawn bowls - 2 table-tennis tables - large arena/bandstand (regular events through the summer months) All equipment available for hire for a minimal cost. Advised to prebook tennis courts in the summer months due to its popularity Super friendly n helpful staff Open 24 hrs One of Hinckley's gems :))

Hollycroft Park is a great facility. There are tennis courts, a bowling green, pitch and putt, a wildlife haven and a band stand. From my personal point of view it has some great hills for interval training, and for sledging when we actually get some snow. They have various events on throughout the year which are generally free, including stuff for kids.

A beautiful little park on a slope. I'm sure it would be beautiful in the summer with the small stream trickling through, and the windy paths making it suitable for pushchairs etc. There are table tennis tables dotted about which I would presume you could hire bat's and balls for in the summer months but not sure on that. The kids enjoyed a little climb in some trees and hunting for the bat boxes that are numbered around the park. There is a tennis court which was being used and ample on street parking available near the entrances of the park. Lots of seating is dotted about so a nice space to sit for a while and watch the...

A lovely medium sized park with three main sections: a golf course pitch and putt practice ground (near St. George's Avenue), an amphitheatre/outdoor stage (in the central section) and a grassy/wooded section (near Hollycroft road).

There is an outdoor bowling green with a club, bookable tennis courts and free to use table tennis tables.

There are benches at various points throughout the park and picnic tables in the section closest to Hollycroft road.

There is free parking at the bottom of the golf pitch and putt. The surrounding streets also have...
