I love this ' historical gem ' the contents of the museum are kept up to date and so interesting based on local and British history throughout the ages. Love to take the grandchildren as there was a super quizz we enjoyed together searching and finding out facts. Although there is a quaint tea room inside there is a gorgeous cottage garden just out the back with setting but tastefully situated. Very special on a sunny afternoon. Also the museum hosts activity days such as 'Roman Days 'and 'Wash days' both interactive with an opportunity for children to dress and take part in past occupations. Such fun. Please don't drive through Hinckley on a Sunday after 2pm without stopping off for a trip...
