Superb service, good advice and recommendations of the food. Attentive and interested waiters. Food was delicious, 5 of us shared a veg and a meat platter for starters, mains selection is extensive, beautifully cooked and presented, very tasty, take note of waiters advice on how spices hot the dishes are. Deserts looked good too but we were too full to eat more so settled for the lovely and mint-chocs. Will definitely go back if in the area.

I am of Indian origin and find it really difficult to find outstanding Indian restaurants. I’ve been here twice now with friends and the food has been exceptional. The service is splendid, staff are friendly and helpful. This place has become our favourite India restaurant and we will use it for special occasions as the food is high quality and amazing flavours! A credit to market bosworth!

I don't usually go to mainstream Indian restaurants. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food. We had a mix platter for starters which was very nice good flavours and I was recommended with a chefs special which was also very good. The atmosphere and deco was brilliant and a good pint of Cobra thank you guys will be seeing you again.

Please note I've done many Google reviews on restaurants , mostly 5 stars....so I'm not some nutter setting up a profile just to do 1 rubbish review ... Booked a table here for 2 on a Saturday evening. Seated at a table where we had the waiter's backside within a few inches of our food when serving tables either side. Upon raising the issue the excuse was "you haven't been here before" and "it's a Saturday night". Also "ask for a different table when you book". Absolutely pathetic. As if to say if you haven't been before you deserve someone's backside next to your curry. The bonkers thing is we have been here before a few years ago but there is a reason now confirmed that we haven't come often. They knocked a few quid off the bill for this.. Not enough to cover 2 drinks. The curry is distinctly below average. Lacked seasoning. They get away with it due to a total lack of competition in this part of Leicestershire. The upsides were the service was quick and there is a nice atmosphere...

Very disappointed , Was recommended by a friend, Booked in for 630 pm Saturday 8th October for two people. Service was seriously good but felt very rushed, we were bk home for 730. Food was not what I expected, I ordered a main of fry chicken tikka , it stated with onion and salad. Asked for a sizzler plate, was told they don’t do that as plates are hot enough, first Indian restaurant I’ve been to where they don’t do a sizzler, Well the main came out and it was like a starter! Pieces of tikka sliced up not chunks, tiny bit of Lettuce and a few bits of fresh onion, portion sizes very small. That was it, had chips as a side. Hubby had a chicken biryani, came out like a loaf of slop but rice was hard, no poppadom either and he ordered it,was still charged on the bill which we questioned, got that taken off the bill 😳,sorry not good and it’s not cheap either, Went home...

Ordered from this place many times as a Bosworth resident. For context I should add that I have lived in Leicester City centre and have had many curries over the years from the city. Simla has provided me with some of the best. The menu is unremarkable in terms of content, standard in many respects. What sets them apart is service and also their absolutely expert use of spice. Eating at Simla makes you understand that spice is not about hot or not hot. Spice isn't a thing by itself, its something that (when its perfect for the ingredients and customer) transforms those ingredients and the diners experience. I've had 100's of curries but only that experience about 3 times. One of them was here -...
