The M Bar — Restaurant in Horsham

I recently dined at this establishment, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Here's a breakdown of my disappointments:

Cramped Seating Arrangement: The seating arrangement was less than ideal. My party and I were placed in a back room where tables were so closely packed that it felt like we were practically on top of the other diners.

Uninformed about Upcoming Events: Upon making a reservation, we explicitly mentioned that it was for a birthday celebration. However, we were not informed that there was another birthday event upstairs, and as a result, we were seated in a small, less accommodating area.

Lackluster Service: The service was disappointingly slow. It took three attempts to flag down a server to take our orders for both food and drinks. It felt like we were constantly waiting for attention.

Mediocre Food Quality: The quality of the food did not meet expectations. The lobster, in particular, was tough and fell short of what one would expect. Overall, the dishes were only average at best.

Unengaged Staff: The staff appeared disinterested and lacked enthusiasm. Their lack of engagement contributed to a rather dull and uninviting atmosphere.

Inattentiveness Towards Clearing Plates: When requesting the bill, we noticed that our plates hadn't been cleared. It was surprising to receive the bill while remnants of our meal were still on the table.

Overall, this was not the enjoyable dining experience we had hoped for, and regrettably, we won't be returning. Improvements in seating arrangements, service efficiency, and staff engagement would go a long way in enhancing the overall...

Bar staff were nice enough but my evening was ruined by their bouncers (24th August). I went to this bar for my friends 21st birthday. We arrived just after midnight and had our IDs checked as normal. I noticed the bouncer (youngish-man with ginger/blonde) scratching my ID (provisional licence). This has never happened to me before and did not happen to any of the people I was with. My ID was handed over to another member of staff after the bouncer had finished scratching my ID and I was told that the rip on the ID invalidated my ID and that I would have to get it replaced.

My ID was not damaged before entering the club and I have never had any issues like this anywhere else. That same level of scrutiny was not given to any of the other people in the queue with me. I am not typically someone who cries racism but the other white people I was with did not have the same issue. All of the people I was with were white. Their ID’s were not scratched and their IDs were only glanced at before they were let in. I was stood waiting for a couple minutes as he scratched my ID to check its validity. Having my ID ripped and damaged by a racist bouncer was not how I saw my night going. I’ve seen some interesting ways to test an ID; ripping the top film has never been one of them. Not only was I made to feel uncomfortable, I also now have to buy a new licence to replace my old one. I have had the same licence for 4 years without so much as a scratch. One night here and I’m having to buy a replacement.

What a lovely place to enjoy~

Just simply an incredible place to eat, the food was too fantastic that I couldn’t stop eating and so I accidentally stayed for 2 hours.

There was a kind, friendly guy that took the order, he should be a French-speaking since he talked to me in French, and so I talked to him in French for the rest of the duration.🫢

Thai chilli squid—— 10000/10 💞 It’s the best thing I’ve ever had simply, it was so good that I continuously ordered that for 3 times! Just so crispy and it was just flavourful 🫨

Crab sushi 🦀 🍣 8.5/10 I like the sauce, it was flavoursome and that was just so obsessing with those crunchy crabs 🦀, and also if you pour water in the jar, it will have a “dry ice effect” where a lot of smokes will come out (you can see that from my 3rd pic)

Spicy Tuna Sushi 🍣 9.5/10 I just LOVE the spicy sauce 🌶️, it was super addictive, and the tuna was also incredible!!!!! There’s also the “dry ice thingy 🧊” and it was wholesome👌

Salmon sushi 🍣 6.5/10 I did not took a pic for it (I just forget everything whenever I eat😵) I thought it was going to be great (since most of the salmon sushi I had in my life were exceptional), but the rice was sadly flavourless. The rice is actually an important part of a sushi. Wish they could add some vinegar or some other flavour to make it taste better. The salmon was great though, a real big piece and taste not as bland as the rice 🍚.
