Tuk Tuk Horsham — Restaurant in Horsham

This was my first order with Tuk Tuk. The meal was mainly good. The delivery driver was friendly and arrived on time. The Aubergine/sweet potato Katsu was very tasty, beef bao buns and duck gyozas all delicious. Pad Thai was lacking a little in flavour. And the Yaki Udon had a lot of sauce. I personally prefer this dish a little more dry. Disappointingly (particularly for my children) one of our 2 Nutella/banana dessert spring rolls turned out to be a vegetable spring roll covered in chocolate sauce (see photo). It must have been muddled up in the fryer and I totally accept that human error occurs but what was a little disappointing is how it was dealt with. I called up, politely explained the situation and was asked if I lived locally. I'm a 10 min drive away so not that local. I was asked what I'd like them to do to rectify the situation, so I asked for the dessert dish to be refunded. The person I spoke to then asked if I'd ordered through a delivery third party which I hadn't. It was a direct order via their website and they said it wasn't possible to refund me but could they add a note to my account to give me credit for the dessert on my next order, which I agreed to. I felt a little disappointed that I wasn't offered a replacement or a refund, and they didn't seem particularly apologetic for the mix up. On the plus side, some of the dishes were tasty. I'll give Tuk Tuk another try...

We love the food from Tuk Tuk and often order from them - we have tried to order it 2 weeks running on a Sunday night after a late work finish. We have ordered it on Deliveroo 20/25mins before they closed. They accepted the order last night and when we rang to confirm they told us it was cancelled but refused to cancel it through the app and refused to acknowledge that they had taken the step to accept the order when we queried. When we asked them to cancel it themselves or asked them why they originally accepted it if they claimed to have no record of our order, based on their bad customer service we were left having to spend 30-45mins trying to sort out a refund. This is an issue that has previously happened and they have handled it badly both times, failing to acknowledge that they shouldn’t have accepted the order. But also if we hadn’t rung them to check, as we knew we were close to closing, we would never have known our dinner...
