Came here for breakfast with a friend on a Sunday. From afar it looked like a nice spot to have a decent JD Wetherspoons meal. We sat down on the tatty, worn seats, and after getting comfortable, noticed a slice of toast and two bits of sausage on the floor underneath our table. Cleanliness was not their biggest priority clearly. My friend went to order at the bar at 11.55am, pushing it a bit when wanting to order breakfast but considering it wasn't busy, assumed it wouldn't take five minutes to order. He got to the bar and was completely ignored by all members of staff. Even after achieving eye contact, not even a "I'll be with you in just a moment" was given. This is against Wetherspoons policy as all customers are supposed to be recognised within 10 seconds of approaching the bar. I know this because I used to work at a Wetherspoons for three years, achieving a Managerial role. Since it took so long to order we weren't able to get breakfast and settled for the All Day Brunch instead. Food was fine, no issues. However, did not receive a check back. People's plates on other tables were not taken within five minutes of the last person finishing eating and were still there 10 minutes after they had left. During the meal I started to notice more and more dirt and dust covering everything. The place definitely needs to be refurbished. Overall, I had an okay time but there are definite...
Read moreStaff could be visible on entrance as man in front walked past track & trace, yet i was almost rugby tackled by girl with pink hair when i scanned qr code and walked on.i was grilled by her and thought she was a bit agressive. Not the welcome i expected and bearing in mind man before had done zero for track and trace...a bit over zealous. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with numbers in which case, even more reason to limit numbers ' at the door'. Meal was ordered and was directed to table with sauces and there were empty boxes.....vinegar & tartare were empty. Now considering my companion had just ordered fish & chips...i was a little concerned. I spoke to a member of the team who said she would check downstairs.i asked how long it would take as hot food now getting cold. When she came back after a few minutes she had a few sachets in her hand, i reminded her boxes were empty and other guests may be impacted to which i received the shrug of the shoulders. Not a great effort team. Other establishments in Horsham...
Read morei came here with low expectations and not even those were met. the first complication we were met with was an entire lack of ketchup to the point we had to go to the tesco around the corner as they were completely out of stock (a common reoccurrence for this evening). after half on hour when our drinks arrived there wasn’t a straw in sight. If i hadn’t had already paid i would’ve got up and left. it seems trap you here by making you pay first. Once our food had arrived i had to try 3 mayonnaise bottles to get a measly teaspoon of sauce on my plate furious we had not bought another bottle of sauce at tesco. i cannot put to words the state these eggs were in. it looks as if they were punched and then kicked across the kitchen.
No ketchup, No straws, No salt. salt. With the lack of basic necessities you might as well stay at home at make your own food. whoever runs this substandard establishment is clearly incompetent and if i had it my way they would be fired on the spot after a...
