Pretty poor experience...just didn’t come off for us. Got overcharged massively and food very disappointing. Firstly when we booked, not told the table was actually outside... they thought nothing of this when questioned, and said oh it’s warm under the heaters...we had no choice..it was ok if you weren’t sat nearest the road which was cold and noisy. The tent was open to the elements in places and my husband sat with his feet in a small amount of water for the whole meal. His meal had to go back, it was too salty, the other 3 meals were only ok. Have eaten far better Turkish food and our meals didn’t look anything like as good as those on the website. Everything was disjointed, some drinks would arrive, but not all, part of the starters arrived but not all, so some of us hadn’t started when others had finished. Then a random bowl of chips arrived out of nowhere whilst we were still eating our starters, then another table’s meal arrived unexpectedly. Ok they were busy as it was Friday night, but nothing was professionally executed. When our main courses did come, two people had no cutlery so they had to wait ages whilst they tried to find some... they had ran out! Then the best bit, we got subjected to the entertainment... oh yes - just what we needed......if you are going to inflect some bloke miming to Freddie Mercury “Break Free” at full volume on us, and later doing a poor impression of Tina Turner in drag.. can you at least make sure the person is worthy of one’s attention. We didn’t want him in our space and think he got the message though clearly all the staff thought he was good as they stopped and videoed him for ages. It went on far too long and we couldn’t have a conversation. It was a really rubbishy experience all round, but actually in the end, it was a bit out of the ordinary and memorable... for all the wrong reasons. We won’t...

Went today for a lunch as I regularly go there for evenings, and get take away often too. I was expecting the same quality and great service I was used too at Zeytin. Well this time was a different atmosphere. Had 3 course for £12.95, I thought it will be a smaller portion but when the food came out I was very disappointed. The lettuce had seen better days, when starting to turn brown then we know is not fresh. The meat was over cooked and dry (chicken shish). For dessert I ordered Tiramisu, which was ok until I discovered a huge piece of white plastic under my teeth, nearly cut my tongue. So I called the waiter over to show him the plastic I found in my food. His answer was well we don’t make this here actually, so you want another one? He literally did not care, I felt very embarrassed to be honest. He brought another one out and disappeared. When I wanted to pay literally no one was around so I walked over to the counter and then I saw one staff member having food another one sitting by the table. There was zero service or attention to me as a costumer, not a single person asked if I was happy with the food. Another thing worth to mention. Please change your drinks menu for a clean ones, they are extremely sticky and dirty, not nice to touch. Freshly printed lunch menus would be a great idea too as the one I had handed today looked like they were chewed by a dog before. Small things can make difference! I always used to recommend this place but after today’s visit I won’t. It’s a...

Zeytin restaurant in Horsham, West Sussex, offers a delightful experience for anyone craving authentic Turkish cuisine. The ambiance is warm and inviting, reflecting the rich culture and hospitality that Turkey is known for. The desserts at Zeytin are truly exceptional. The Baklava, a classic Turkish sweet, is perfectly layered with crispy phyllo pastry, generously filled with nuts, and soaked in a delectable honey syrup. Another highlight is the Künefe, a cheese-filled pastry soaked in sweet syrup, served hot and topped with a sprinkle of pistachios. Each bite melts in your mouth, offering a perfect balance of textures and flavors. Service at Zeytin is outstanding. The staff are friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They are always eager to offer recommendations and ensure that every guest has a memorable dining experience. The attention to detail and genuine hospitality make dining at Zeytin feel special. Overall, Zeytin in Horsham is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy exquisite Turkish cuisine and exceptional service. Whether you're a fan of savory dishes or have a sweet tooth for authentic Turkish desserts, Zeytin delivers...

My partner, whose birthday 'treat' this was, astutely described Zeytin as a miasma of disappointment. We ordered a bottle of the Burlesque Zinfandel and not only were we not shown the label, but the waiter poured it then plonked the bottle on the cooler. One sip was enough to discover this was that cheap Barefoot wine you see in corner shops. Undrinkable. They didn't have any of the wine we ordered, so I presume they were just trying to pass this off and hope we didn't notice. I asked if the baba ganoush was really vegan, as it states on the menu. No it isn't, that's a mistake. Next, the waitress didn't appear to know the difference between haydari and tzatziki. Then told us the falafel only came with a small portion of hummus, so we ordered a separate portion of hummus. The falafel came with the same amount of second rate hummus as the separate portion. The sarma were tinned (see photo), presented on a very limp salad and flavourless. I wouldn't return to Zeytin if you paid me.

The meat dishes here are simply delicious. I had lamb and aubergine kebab and my wife had the chicken shish. Both were so tasty and tender. I ordered a Belgian chocolate sponge for sweet, which turned out to be about 3 times the size I expected and I had to concede defeat. On a second visit the food was equally as good, still generous. My main was a little slow to arrive - I didn't complain or think much of it - but unprompted they gave me a large glass of wine! Excellent. Update: Took a group here for dinner, and the food and service were great again. However, be warned that in a Saturday night you may be treated to an unexpected and slightly bizarre entertainment! See video for a taste of Freddie Mercury. Tina Turner also appeared. We had fun, though.

Last week me and my girl friend visited to Zeytin restaurant. The foods are absolutely delicious tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned with a smoky flavor from the grill. The sides were just as good: fresh salads, fluffy rice, and warm balloon bread that paired beautifully with everything. I also tried kisir, cacik it was the perfect way to start the meal. To finish, I had kunafa , rice pudding which was served in the traditional style and made for a lovely end to the evening. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all came together for an excellent dining experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Turkish flavors and a memorable meal.
