Generally I love a KFC, 3 piece verity meal every time. This outlet in Eaton Socon has got some serious issues though, the kids meals were not available because their ice cream machine was broken and they had ran out of snack box yogurts, they said because of this the only option was to buy an adult meal for my 6 year old. Also they were out of stock of various other products including the Fanta that my wife wanted. All of that is inconvenient, but worse was the cleanliness. The rug at the front door was filthy, there was a half eaten chicken leg on the floor just after that and there was straws, chips and spilled drinks strewn all over the place. It was disgusting and the only thing that prevented me from turning around there and then was my hunger. When I pointed out to the staff that it could do with a clean, they explained that someone was going to do it but they went on a break instead. They did however get someone to come out and sweep, but the young lady given the task was clearly unhappy with being asked to do so and made a half hearted effort to sweep the worst of the mess up. She soon got bored though and proceeded to brush her collection into a pile and left it right by my table! The dustpan was all the way on the other side of the room so maybe that was too...
Read moreI visited the St Neots branch today around 1130am. to order a sharing bucket meal. Aware that the self-service kiosks don’t allow substitutions (like changing fries to gravy), I went to the counter to place my order directly with a staff member. Just as I was about to pay, the manager interrupted and instructed the staff to tell me to use the self-service kiosk instead.
I tried to explain why I was ordering at the counter, but the manager wouldn’t listen and had the staff cancel the transaction. I again attempted to speak to him, but he was dismissive and refused to engage.
Eventually, I returned to the kiosk and placed the order as-is. The staff member then kindly made the gravy substitution manually.
I later spoke to the manager and advised him to improve his approach to customer service. His response was, “You don’t need to tell me that—I have 100 other customers to attend to.” Completely unacceptable behaviour, especially for someone working in hospitality where customer experience should matter.
This kind of attitude makes you think twice about returning. I'm very disappointed.
Hope the management give their staff training on customer relation. At the moment, it's a 1 star review of the manager...
Read moreonly gave 1 star as there is no option for zero stars. On Sunday 10 Feb 2019 the staff were shockingly rude and hostile. I took my 2 children there but never will again. The first member of staff rolled her eyes and laughed in my face when she yelled next please and I didnt jump to attention instantly because my son was still deciding. They served us the wrong drinks, but that was ok, everyone makes mistakes. We ordered a zinger burger with no mayo (due to allergy). But unf they left the mayo it - thankfully I spotted it in time. We asked politely asked for it to be changed for a no mayo zinger burger. Our server made a big show of it and went through to the kitchen bringing out other members of staff to glare and laugh at us. It was intended to be intimidating and I felt very uncomfortable. The replacement burger had no mayo but it wasnt a zinger, I couldn't face going up to the counter again. The staff at the front glared at me whilst I sat eating with my children. We'd had a really nice time at the extreme trampolining nearby but this really ruined the day. Absolutely disgusted and regret exposing my children to...
