Montaz — Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

Indian restaurant with fawlty towers staff, food was average but the service was a real joke honestly thought we were in a comedy strip. The waiters (school boys, who really didn't want to be at work) were unbelievable, they took our starters plates while we were still eating, came back with clean knife and forks for main course and throw yes throw them on the table in the middle, when asked if"do we have to lay them ourselves" he picked them up and just placed them together in front of each of us . Main course came while still eating he came back and said" you lot finished?" When we had finished plates were taken and another waiter (school boy) came over with clean again throwing them in the middle, we informed him we had finished and was waiting for bill. The joke was telling the young woman (front of house management) she replied " oh we have told them loads of times but you can't tell youngest and we can't sack them." No apologies or anything. We paid quite a bit of money for an evening meal (4 adults) with drinks, and this was unacceptable. NVQ Customer service training is needed at this place ASAP. Would I recommend this place? 3 of us went here for dinner last night. My friend only ate half of his chicken dish as it didn't taste as it should and was quite unpleasant.

Whilst my other friend and I enjoyed the flavour of ours, I has prawn she had mixed meat, I was up in the night feeling unwell and have spent all morning and afternoon being violently sick. I haven't been this sick for as long as I can remember :(

My friend had an upset tummy too but wasn't sick.

£100 for 3 meals and a bottle of wine. What a waste. We were supposed to enjoy the day kayaking today. Instead I've spent it in bed feeling like death :(

Even the chocolate after eights given with the bill were manky. Appeared to have melted and reformed!

I wish I'd read other reviews before coming here. The lady at our local pharmacy (my friend went to get me some sickness and painkiller medication) told him that her daughter had also been made unwell here with a takeaway that had a funny taste to it.

Firstly, service was very poor and staff were unwelcoming. They brought one small jug of water for six people and they don’t come back to refill the jug. You have to keep calling them to refill it. Staff was rushing to take orders as soon as you come in and they took ages to bring food after rushing to take our orders. Also when staff replaced the fork and knife, she just chuck the cutlery randomly on the table. Secondly, food was extremely disappointing, no taste at all, bread(naan) was burned. Food portions were very small- not worth the price. Lastly, we asked for the bill and they brought the bill but they were taking a long time to bring the card machine so we had to go to the bar counter settle the bill .
