Had brunch here for the first time last weekend and wondered why I’d never been here before?! St. Ives is a lovely place to visit, especially when the sun is shining, and The River Terrace is a gorgeous venue set against The River Ouse. A warm welcome was received when entering and we were given a lovely table upstairs next to a window with a rather fab view of the river. Food/drinks order was taken quickly and food arrived within 25mins. All food was generous, very tasty and well presented. All my family had the Full English and couldn’t of been happier with it. We’ll definitely visit again (soon I hope) to try lunch and maybe ask for a table on the beautiful outside terrace! 🤩🤩

First time stopping into this wonderful little cafe on the edge of the river in the heart of St. Ives. The staff were welcoming, efficient, and perfectly attentive. The building and the cafe inside was stylish and chic. I ordered Moroccan mint tea to start, and then added the chicken sandwich and crispy herbed potatoes from the Brunch menu with the citrus mayo on the side. The chicken for the sandwich is marinaded in a beautiful sauce, then pan fried to perfection. Probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in a very long time! Definitely adding this cafe to my list to return to on occassion.

Great location by the river, love being out there in the sun. Highly recommend booking in advance as those seats are often booked up (I was lucky with a walk in). Be aware the food takes a bit of time to prepare and come out but it's worth the wait. The Turkish eggs were perfect - delicious bread, eggs perfectly poached with runny yolk, lovely yoghurt with herbs and really flavoursome chilli oil, 10/10. I had some nice yoghurt with granola, too, but the Turkish eggs were the stars of the show. Good service, great food, nice atmosphere. Highly recommended, probably my favourite in St Ives.

A truly perfect experience each time. The terrace offers beautiful views along the river, and is always a lovely escape. Great coffee from our favourite roasters, Brew Project. Local beers from Wylde Sky. Bakes by Gnawty Bites. I love seeing the collaboration with so many great local businesses. The food is also exceptional. We had the fried chicken burger which was perfectly moist and juicy, as well as the mezze bowl. Everything cooked and seasoned perfect. The service was great, friendly and attentive. One of my favourite places to dine in Cambridgeshire.
