A sunny Saturday lunchtime was spent here in their beer garden.

We brought some family with us and booked a river view table with ease. The staff were very accommodating about our preference. The garden fills quickly and you’ll appreciate why when you visit. It has a relaxed vibe and its good for families.

Fish and chips, scampi and squid were all really nicely prepared, looking very appetizing on arrival to our table.

Only thing I’d say is that the parasols for the tables, whilst readily available, can’t be secured in a way that stops them blowing about in the wind. We had to take turns holding on to it. My pale husband had his factor 50 on, so in the end we gave up on the parasol so we could focus on our lovely meal.

We left satisfied and happy....

Had a day out to St Ives today and thought the views in the garden of Floods Tavern looked stunning, so we decided to have lunch there. Views were beautiful, great to watch the river so busy with kayaks, paddle boarders and boats. Very bubbly, friendly staff at the Tavern but service was terribly slow and the fish (part of the plate of fish and chips) was inedible. Couldn't cut through it, as it was too rubbery and was like a minced mixture of fish, (seemed like it was a very cheap frozen fish from a cheap freezer shop). Hubby had lasagne which was bland and dry. Sorry Floods Tavern, appreciate you were busy, but no excuse to serve poor food. Views made it...

Floods is a hidden gem right on the river, tucked away from the high street, in the middle of St Ives. We went on a warm June Sunday and found the atmosphere relaxed and comfortable, with a nice buzz. The staff were friendly, experienced, and professional. The food was good - We had Ceasar salad, burger, and fish and chips. Drink prices were reasonable, and the beer was cold. The pub apparently has live music on occasion, but there was none the day we were there. We found it to be a pleasant family venue (at least on warm Sundays), and we would definitely recommend it. It is also an easy walk from a car park which is free on.Sundays, and after 18:00 in...

This is an ok pub for lunch if your in the area. They had a great choice of beers and the menu was very traditional pub grub. I had a burger and chips which was presented very well. Bit disappointed they didn't have any brown sauce, wouldn't take much to nip across the road to the shop for some as it is a British favourite! I was also surprised they don't offer tea and coffee as most gastro pubs do. I'm sure there is a reason for this but the barmaid was so vicious in telling me NO that I didn't bother to ask why. I certainly wouldn't go back here as there are much nicer places around with friendlier staff.

Found it difficult to get in touch with the pub before visiting (wondering if the website contact form is out of date?), but ended up going anyway and there were plenty of tables to sit at both inside and outside on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The food was gorgeous - we went for the small plates and they're very reasonably priced for the quality (and portion sizes!). Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. Great riverside view and lovely staff
