Mi Piace is a true gem in the heart of Ipswich. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a warm, cosy atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The décor is charming, and the ambiance is perfect for a relaxed meal with friends, a romantic evening, or even a family dinner.
We recently celebrated a special birthday here with friends, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect choice. The food was absolutely delicious – rich in authentic Italian flavours, beautifully presented, and clearly made with passion and high-quality ingredients. Every dish, from the starters to the desserts, was packed with taste and Italian soul.
The staff were genuinely lovely – attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. A heartfelt thank you to Endi and Ella, who made us feel truly welcomed and taken care of. And a huge shout-out to the chef, whose incredible dishes helped make the celebration truly memorable.
If you’re looking for a place that delivers top-notch Italian cuisine, warm hospitality, and a cosy setting perfect for any occasion – especially celebrations – Mi Piace is the one. We’ll definitely be back. Highly...
Read moreI will start by saying that the venue and the team are fantastic, service was 10 out of 10.
Myself, husband and mum visited for dinner and were really looking forward to it due to the outstanding reviews. Unfortunately we didn’t feel the food was as good as expected.
We ordered a cheese garlic bread and mixed meats to start, for £20.00 I really felt the mixed meats were not good. We have eaten at other Italian restaurants locally and the antipasti has been great, but this was very small selection of what I believe to not be best quality meat with tomatoes and small cheese.
I had the seafood pasta, the seafood was nice but sauce bland, my husband had the carbonara which he said was “ok, average” and mum had cannelloni which I tried and think was quite nice, was the best dish.
I will say the chocolate cake got eaten very quickly. Really sad to review poorly, we did eat the food but may not return.
Lastly, they had a singer but this was far too loud, I like live music but was too loud...
Read moreAs a vegetarian person, I would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant. I went because of the selection of food i’ve seen in the menu online, but at the restaurant they had a different menu and only ONE vegetarian option for pasta and one for pizza. The waiter could manage to make possible to order a simple pasta pomodoro, and unfortunately it tasted okay, but not properly good. Plus: My boyfriend ordered a diet coke and a glass of coke from a bottle they keep in the fridge (I’ve seen being prepared and honestly don’t see as worth it). The way they gave us a left over is absolutely horrendous, a decent box it’s the minimum we expect from a place who sells food. The area showed as “outside” is also part of the restaurant - inside of the building and covered, where people smoke and there’s a loud tv, making not comfortable to have a proper meal. The restaurant looks good from the table we seated, the staff is friendly, but it’s definitely...
