An Absolutely Amazing Dining Experience at Wagamamma Ipswich 🌟
My recent visit to Wagamamma Ipswich was truly exceptional, leaving me impressed not just by the quality of the food, but by the outstanding customer service that elevated the entire meal.
This is easily a five-star experience from start to finish.
Culinary Highlights: Katsu and Brisket Perfection
I started with the beef brisket bap buns, and they were phenomenal. The brisket was incredibly tender, smoky, and falling apart, perfectly complemented by a rich, savory sauce all housed within soft, fluffy steamed buns. They were a brilliant, flavor-packed start.
For the main course, the chicken katsu was, as always, executed to perfection. The chicken was succulent, encased in a beautifully crisp panko crumb, and drenched in that iconic, comforting curry sauce.
It’s the ultimate comfort food done right—consistent, satisfying, and delicious. To accompany my meal, the two black Americanos were strong, hot, and exactly what we needed.
Service That Shines: The Ruby Standard While the food was fantastic, the true highlight of the visit was the service provided by Ruby. From the moment i was seated, she was attentive, exceptionally warm, and genuinely personable.
She managed my table with seamless efficiency and a friendly smile, making me feel completely looked after without ever being intrusive.
Ruby is, without a doubt, a true ambassador for the business. Her enthusiasm and professionalism clearly demonstrated a real passion for customer satisfaction. Her amazing attitude is precisely the kind of service that turns a good meal into a memorable occasion.
Final Verdict
Thank you, Wagamamma Ipswich, for the wonderful food, and a huge thank you to Ruby for providing such brilliant, five-star service. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for great food and even better...
Read moreWe went to eat tonight a table of 10.
Let’s start with the good points food was good and they brought the kids food straight out after the drinks. The Lady that took our order was friendly and polite.
Bad points. 3/4 sides arrived before anything else. Then mine and my husband food arrived. Then 15 minutes later 3 other peoples. 10 minutes later 2 other peoples and a lady on our table still hadn’t received her food when I was finishing mine. When I said to a waiter that we were still waiting on a side and a main. He was rude to me and snapped back that he knows and walked off. 10 mins later the ladies food arrived with the last side dish. Bear in mind my and two other peoples plates had been cleared away by then. Waited 25 mins for someone to ask did we want any desserts it took 15 mins for the kids ice creams to come and after waiting 20 mins for the other dessert we had ask where it was they went to find out what was going on they came back and told us it wouldn’t be long. But it took another 15 mins.
After sitting and observing the badly run restaurant for nearly 2 hours I could understand the chefs weren’t communicating on tables so basically no one running the kitchen and the front of house were running around getting grief because the kitchen was running badly and the manager was so busy packing take aways they weren’t running the restaurant. The place needs some serious training of staff before we...
Read moreAfter four or five visits its OKAY. If you are in the mood for the style of food and on the fly. Firstly we've always found it very clean, glasses, tables, cutlery etc, so that's good. It's a nice atmosphere/decor etc. The staff or service etc I have always found to be down to earth, casual, friendly and efficient.
Its the food that's just really very average and doesn't taste authentic at all. From experience the starters are MUCH better than the mains. The dumplings are lovely. But in general we have had far better results elsewhere or cooking at home for less cost with better quality ingredients and MORE herbs and spices that bring the more authentic flavour than served here. For example the katsu chicken curry to be honest just tastes like a birds eye frozen chicken piece covered in a powder/mix sauce. It's served with 'sticky rice' but it's just an over cooked pile of mush at the end of the day. The ramen with crispy belly pork tasted clean and fresh so fair enough. But it just wasn't multi layered with flavour like you would hope. There wasn't much of the pork either for the price you pay.
The highlight of the last visit was the rose lemonade which was just gorgeous.
So all in all. Not really worth the money and I don't feel the need to try it any more. But okay if you are in a...
