I have ordered from Atlanta Crispy twice now.
My first experience: The service was really quick and staff was very friendly, the place was particularly busy too MashAllah. I ordered the Spicy Dip and unfortunately the chicken was very chewy and almost like rubber.
The title 'Spicy Dip' makes you think automatically - Manchester, Oldham and Rochdale scene - although the burger is indeed a spicy dip burger it is not 'THE SPICY DIP' burger. The burger had flavour, but nothing wow? the dip was similar to the likes of NYKrispy and Klukaroos, rather than Miami crispy etc. Which I guess is not a bad thing, but with the title 'Spicy Dip' you automatically think Miami Crispy. However, if you are after something different from the usual Spicy Dip burger then this is a good place to go.
I ordered the Spicy Dip again the second time and if I'm 100% honest, it tastes like a glorified Salams (Birkby). Again, the chicken was chewy and tough to bite into.
I am not a hater and genuinely wish the best for everyone, but when you have so much hype surrounding a place and to live up to the name 'Atlanta crispy' is not an easy task and I think on this occasion they haven't quite hit the mark. Having read reviews on social media, a lot of people have said the same thing about the chicken being chewy but I guess this is a just a teething issue and is something that I believe can be resolved very quickly.
It is a little frustrating to see, when you have so many people most likely friends and family of the establishment (which you can easily single out from other reviews), hyping up the place, which misleads genuine customers.
Again, overall good customer service and very quick service. The burger was good, fresh and hot. The chips were really nice too and super fresh, and I think once they sort out the issue of the chicken being chewy it is something different that should be tried. I believe there is no doubt that Atlanta will be popular due to the obvious and evident reach of the owners. I look forward to coming again and trying something different, in a...
Read moreDuring my recent venture to Atlanta crispy, intrigued by an extensive menu boasting everything from fried chicken burgers and beef burgers to kebabs and pizzas, my initial excitement was quickly dampened. A vast menu, in my experience, often signals a breadth of offerings at the expense of specialised quality. This theory held true upon tasting their attempts at a dipped filet burger, a delicacy I've relished in Oldham and Manchester, where such eateries excel by focusing on this singular masterpiece.
Regrettably, the experience was underwhelming. The burger bun presented itself as dry, bordering on stale, a disappointing start. The chicken filet, far from the juicy and tender ideal, was small and overcooked, leading to an unappetising dryness. Although the spicy sauce it was dipped in aimed for distinction, it failed to leave a memorable impression. The only saving grace was the chips, which were pleasantly enjoyable.
This visit has only reinforced my preference for specialists who master their craft, particularly in the realm of dipped burgers. It seems prudent for this establishment to consider narrowing its focus, potentially elevating a singular item to greatness rather than mediocrity across many.
In conclusion, while the effort is acknowledged, the outcome falls significantly short of expectations. Until substantial improvements are made, or a more focused menu is adopted, my allegiance remains with the tried and true specialists of Oldham and Manchester. A well-intentioned attempt, but unfortunately, it...
Read moreWe ordered 3 different burgers, all were excellent by taste. Pizza was very tasty full of flavour. The bonus is excellent and polite service...... would highly recommend. Much better than it's rival burger shop which is operating from long time but now we don't visit there due to bad service. Anyways five stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐.
UPDATE: visited again after 3 weeks but unfortunately everything was changed. Price of pizza deal jumped from £17 to£ 19.99. Mayonnaise & Sauce in one tub to save money, no discount on NHS card. Service & attitude of person on till was totally different. Unfortunately, when you leave positive reviews and take away start progressing, there is increased price & interaction of staff changes very clearly. Pizza had less filling than last time. Chips were soaked in oil, seems didn't change oil , over used oil. So in short, it's same like other takers away shops who are over priced with less quality food.
Update: on third and fourth visit, on counter, Mr Abdul Rehman was present which was very polite and cooperative. So it matters a lot who is serving and taking orders. I have to again review 5 stars because food, service and taste everything was ok. Especially, chips or fries were in...
