Came to the rate my takeaway kitchen in Huddersfield the other day, and we both tried different meals from pizza pizza, and Bobby's salt and pepper both were reasonably priced and tasted great. My son had the match day munch box from pizza pizza and I had a salt and pepper box from Bobby's, both meals were well portioned and very flavourful too, we also tried a signature milkshake from jays deserts, very tasted and not overly priced. We both left feeling full and enjoyed our experience in the pack horse centre in Huddersfield at rate my takeaways kitchen.

Very quiet today even with through traffic. Quite a few shops empty but those that are are good quality with plenty to show. Season decorations not as glam as in the past what they lack in quantity they make up for in size.

The Packhorse shopping centre is right in the middle of Huddersfield town centre. It opened up in 1971 and was then the major shopping centre in the local area. It as three entrances with the main one having Barclays bank and Natiionwide on one side and RBS on the other; so handy for banks. Unfortunately it as no dedicated parking. I personally like The Packhorse as it is not a large shopping centre by far.It holds 20-30 shops with no really big named stores present at the moment. Saying that, it is a busy place due to the smaller shops giving you that personal touch, that major shopping centres just don't usually provide these days.Most of the staff are knowledgeable in there own trade which I find exceptionally helpful. You will find a café, a fantastic food court upstairs, a couple of very popular sandwich shops, a good priced health shop, Eurochange for your holiday cash, jewellers and a range of other excellent outlets.

If you are in Huddersfield or in the outlining area, a visit to The Packhorse is a must, I am sure you will be...

Work in progress. Hats off to the gentleman who has bought it! He has put a lift in for wheelchair accessible upper floor. Doors on all entrances, much warmer. Pretty pink twinkling trees to lift the atmosphere. Quite a lot of shops already let. Thank you to the man who has confidence in Huddersfield, our brilliant Town with great people, history and architecture. Shops now filling up, and a brilliant working Art studio in one of the units, but UPDATE.......the Art studio has now been disbanded unfortunately. The Centre has come alive since stores from the Queen's Gate Market have moved in.

Although, one shop and their staff really need a course on Customer Service...some of their staff are underhandedly "choosy" about which customer they want to serve! Trying to get help from them is like "pulling teeth". I often wonder if they really like selling things or even their customers!

Saying that one store will bend over backwards to ensure you have the right screws and nuts for the right job.
