A great choice of real ales. But let down by the ordering system in place to cope with the current situation. You need to find a table & order via an app, so good so far and I appreciate that these sort of measures need to be given some leeway. But 25 mins from ordering & PAYING for 2 pints to it being delivered to the table is not acceptable. When I went to enquire after 20 mins I was told I couldn't go to the bar and the beer would be delivered as soon as they were able, even then no indication of how long that may be. Great place, but the bar manager can often be a bit surly and/or elitist. Excellent beer brewed on the premises, although you often can't get to the bar because of the locals sitting there. Only takes cash, which is rather antiquated, and there aren't any cash machines nearby (you'd have to go up into the town, or to the shop at the beginning of Manchester Road). Cant say how much I am impressed this pub. The old brewery in the area with cosy and pretty asmosphere, even though the outlook does not atract people. There are choices of craft beers and the girl at bar is so nice , hearted serving, she really knows so well how customer service is! They are willing to let us try most of the beer before we order because we are new. It is so great! I will come...
