McDonald's — Restaurant in Kirklees

I recently visited the McDonald's located in Huddersfield, and overall, it was a fairly standard experience typical of what you’d expect from the fast-food giant. The restaurant is centrally located, making it convenient for a quick meal when you're out and about in town.

Food & Service The food was consistent with McDonald's usual offerings. My order was prepared quickly, and everything was hot and fresh. The burgers were well assembled, and the fries were crispy and seasoned just right. However, the menu options are standard McDonald's fare, so don't expect anything out of the ordinary.As for the service, it was efficient but somewhat impersonal. The staff were polite but didn't go out of their way to be particularly friendly. That said, my order was correct, which is always a plus.

Atmosphere The atmosphere inside was quite typical of McDonald's restaurants. It was clean, but not particularly cosy or inviting. The seating area was spacious enough, though during peak times it can get quite crowded and a bit noisy, especially with lots of families and young people around. The self-service kiosks make ordering easier and quicker, especially when the counter queues are long.

Cleanliness Cleanliness was generally good, though the tables weren't always cleared promptly, especially during busy periods. The restrooms were in decent condition, though they could have been a bit better maintained.Overall If you're looking for a quick, familiar meal in Huddersfield, McDonald's will meet your expectations. Very busy Mcdonalds most days. We go here weekly and food is OK but NOT brilliant. With sloppy wrapping and poor amount of sandwich fillings, short measured hot drinks and no regularity on amount of McFlurry ice-cream servings or ice cubes in cold drinks. I'm forever having to correct stuff, which as an ex long time employee many years ago find service is now very poor. Over recent years and recently becoming disabled, have found too many people whom don't have a BLUE BADGE, missuse your parking spaces aimed at those with LESS MOBILITY and this includes delivery drivers misusing. This is not just restricted to this branch either, as happens at others too. I believe it's the sign that is an issue, saying "accessible parking" and not "disabled only parking" and it needs to be blue. Sort it or why have them?? Inside service is slow too as drive thru and deliveries appear to take preference over restaurant customers, which we have numerous personal experiences of. The refuse bin and cleaning station nearest the door is a bottleneck and restricts access for disabled and prams to main seating area and is far too close to people eating, especially when folk regularly brush past. Amount of seating is good, although could be improved upon and WHERE ARE THE SUN SCREENS!?, they stopped that awful midday sun blaring through on main seating area. Please bring back...

With Macdonald's I think it is a trend to always get something wrong or not having something working like the icecream machine or the milkshake machine working but it is a annoying cause the queues are never short and to find out you have something wrong with the order is frustrating to then have to queue back up again. Can't complain about staff as they do there best to sound happy and I can imagine it's not an easy job as it's a very damaging place as my friend worked at a food place and has told me all about what it is like which is why I give 4 stars cause of the staff and what they have to work through which how I know mistakes can happen and they are always happy to sort the problem out. Love the free WIFI that they provide as well makes eating food more enjoyable when you can watch a video or scroll through socail media.
