‘Parmos’ have always given me that comforting, nostalgic (little bit naughty, a lot of a bit nice) feeling; a deliciously indulgent treat compared to the local chippy growing up near Barnard Castle, Durham

I’ve had parmos of all sizes, prices and varieties and unfortunately this one from MrTs… …DID NOT HIT! Sooo disappointing!

Quick Review… The portions were ridiculously small for the I price paid! And the quality questionable at best.

What would usually be a ‘half-Parmo’ from other takeaways, this is presented as a full Parmo and costs… …nearly £13.00!!!??? (Plus delivery and fees).

That’s for one grilled chicken breast with bechamel sauce and a sprinkling of toppings, served with a small portion of insipid chips and a tub of creamed cabbage.

I went for a HotShotParmo! Which is always nice and spicy and popular!

I wanted to see what MrTs had to offer. Firstly the box was a small pizza box, (fine), maybe it was crammed,who knew!?

So I open the box and wham!!! Instant disappointment. Look at the pics. Absolute joke.

Chips were mid, not crispy and a third had some sort of dark spot or blemish… again …NOT 13quids worth!

Now on to the Parmo itself…. Very tasty, creamy and rich sauce, fair (not great) amount of toppings depending on your selections made.

Parmos are supposed to be bigger than your head and cost from about 8/11quid with chips and salad, then half’s 4.50-6?

This was not for me! Possibly the worst Parmo I’ve ever eaten

There was a sliiiiiiight caramelisation of cheese, but not quite ‘Parmo-style’, which is browned, crispy edges and a lovely mottled brown cheesy topping.

And quantity of servings… what of ripoff, no thanks! It’s just not what you expect from a 13quid bracket takeaway meal.

Best thing was the creamed cabbage which probably comes in a large tub!

I went here during the government eat out to help out scheme so I do understand that businesses are going to be overwhelmed with customers.

That being said there were some several issues when I visited. This was my first time coming here and I had heard a lot of great things about this place so I did have high expectations. The first problem was how long it took for our food to come. The line itself wasn't too long however it took 1 and a half hours for our food to arrive. We were told it was being made fresh hence the wait so I didn't think too much of it. However once our food had arrived the fries had gone cold and hard. The Cheeto chicken burger had a nice kick to it and the overall flavour was good but the chicken itself was dry and the breading and Cheetos had both become soggy as if the burger had been sitting out for a while.

I do have to say that the blue sea mojito was amazing, the mint added a lovely refreshing taste to it. I would definitely recommend getting this if you do choose to come here.

Another positive note was the staff were all very polite and friendly and they did they're best to help everyone order, be seated, and pay as best as they could. I did notice that most of the staff members working were quite young so I do understand that working such a busy shift isn't easy and I respect anyone who is working during this Pandemic.

Overall this place is overhyped and not somewhere I'd go to regularly go to. I will however return once the Pandemic is over and give this place another...

I ordered 2 meals from these guys to break my fast. It came and it was pink through and through. They were getting late with ordered even though I had ordered way in advance and was stood there. I rang within min of breaking my fast to complaint and the woman on the phone said anytime you want to place an order I've got your name and number your meal will be replaced free of charge. I rang in today couple of weeks after and was transferred to this extremely rude gentleman who said why have you requested this weeks after. You should have come in the next day. I said I had pictures and if he expects customers to come back the next day after bad food in Ramadhan he can think again. He was condescending. He was rude and disrespectful kept repeating the same thing and was shouting down the phone wouldnt even let me explain. At first I thought he was joking so I laughed too. I was so furious in the ens that I cancelled the order and said keep it. I threw both meals away on the day. You've lost a customer and I will be telling people of my experience.
